Schueneman is a keeper. How was he kept in the AHL for this long? He’s a smaller version of Giordano the way he plays. But Giordano is the greatest defenceman in the nhl...

If the Leafs are so good, why are they losing? Bilbo!! Because they are not as good as the media says they are. Fake news!

Seventeen, for sure, I can see the comparison in terms of mobility, two-way game, good point shots, and limited size. But it would take a lot of stars to align for Schueneman to have half the career Giordano has had.
For one thing, despite being undrafted, Giordano dressed for his NHL debut at age 22. Schueneman took the really long road, debuting at age 26.

What happened to Pezzetta? I saw Tyler Pitlick get elbowed in the head by Lyubushin (of course, the distinguished NHL refs looked at it and saw nothing amiss).

Tank be damned, this is sweet . Love beating the Laffs Just love it ... nothing like beating the Leafs (except maybe beating the Bruins ... Nordiques) ... I'll have to go on Toronto radio to hear the postgame reaction ... Cheers.

The Shanaplan is starting to smell a bit like the several Bergplans. Fear not though, the big profit media still love them. Lol.

Lagesson was God awful, and was on for almost the entire 1st period on the first pairing with Eddy. MSL put Rommy up with Eddy to start the 2nd and I think I saw Lagesson out there for maybe a couple of shifts after. Romanov played over 27 minutes and played really well, it's great to watch his growth and just so awesome to see coaches show confidence in him.

Yeah, he's just filler. I wonder if he even gets qualifying offer or if we just let him go as a group VI. Might as well keep him as AHL/tweener depth if it's possible to do so with a 2-way qualifying offer. ---- Anyone else wonder if some Leafs fans just realized they can still lose to a pretty bad team if it has strong goaltending, and they don't ?

Interference, for sure, in the form of a slewfoot. CBC called in a heavy hit. Matthews. Matthews, goals, goals, blah blah blah. Five straight first round losses. His teams don’t win. Sportsnet really, really wanted us to know how good Matthews is, though. Got old, fast. Even as a Leafs fan I'd get sick of it...

Don't believe I've ever seen such a bad debut by a player as Laggy. Like most, I was keen to see who this guy was. And shift after shift it got worse and worse. I started thinking that I should not give up my dream of some day playing for the Habs

I don't mind Cuthbert as I think he's a good play by play guy and actually is unbiased and does his homework so knows about the players on both teams. Meanwhile his sidekick Simpson is truly a Homer.
At one point he had the audacity to criticize Cole's shot when he missed the top corner on the PP and it came out of the zone. Cole scores a few seconds later. A few minutes later Marner shoots it wide and out of the zone - nada from Homer. A few minutes after that Matthews the same thing - nada from Homer.
And I love how Homer eventually starts to have an awakening to realize how gifted Suze is. Suze is so good, Home has to acknowledge it, albeit it begrudgingly.

Tank be damned, this is sweet . Love beating the Laffs Few things are sweeter than a Saturday night when the Habs win and the Leafs lose, particularly when it's in the same game. But man we're going to regret these points. I think we hired Marty a month too soon. Losing to NJ os now a must but the Devils are pretty bad. Maybe with Allen on the bench we can lose.

If the Leafs are so good, why are they losing? Bilbo!! Because they are not as good as the media says they are. Fake news! This is their 2nd loss to the team with the worst record in the league ( as TSN reminded us of yesterday) to fo along with 2 losses to the Coyotes. They are throwing away too many points agajnst non playoff teams. BTW, one of the other guys with over 40 goals, Draisaitl, had a hat trick last night and is now at 47 goals. Listening to HNIC, you wouldnt know that there are 4 othr guys over the 40 mark. (Draisaitl, Kreider, Ovechkin, Connor).
