A whole minute in their zone, started by Dvorak’s inability to make a pass to Savard behind the net. Turnover but fortunately no high danger chances.

Transition continues to be an issue, but that’s a talent problem which isn’t quickly fixed.

Yeah. I stopped watching the game. Switched to Boston/Devils. Another mistake. Switched to NBA Brooklin/Milwaukee. Better. Both Chicago and Cleveland losing. Excellent for Raptors.
Poured a glass of Bourbon.

So this is what it's come to. Five in-game posts I know it's hard to watch. But I am watching with a certain degree of peace hoping for a loss so don't get too caught up in the core once we're down by 2. Just focus on the talent or lack thereof. Barron is going to be a good one. He ain't hurting for confidence or skill. Needs to bulk up and get a little more comfortable but in a few years he will likely be our most offensive dman. Romanov has been struggling the last few games - maybe fatigue or getting too much responsibility. Hope they don't burn him out. Players that have to go: Hoffman, Armia. And Dvo I'll give him some space hoping he's having an off season but he just doesn't;t have it. Little offensive skill, not much of a head for the game, and not all that good in our end.

I hear you, man. Losing is not fun but it is probably the best outcome down the stretch. I am not sure Montreal can pull off a last place finish, but I really do not see better than 30th in the league.
Barron is fun to watch. He makes mistakes, sure. But he is confident with the puck. Luckily for him, breaking into the league with St. Louis behind the bench is positive. I shudder to imagine him getting 7 minutes a night as Therrien, Julien, or Ducharme teach him how the play the 'right' way. Romanov is probably tired. Since Chiarot got traded and Petry got injured, he is logging more minutes than anyone.
I feel like Armia has been better in the last couple of weeks, though granted that is not saying much. Hoffman is what he is, nothing unexpected there. It is a shame after the Cup run and the news about Weber, Bergevin went into dumb panic mode, trying to cobble together just enough talent on the roster to hopefully hang around as a bubble team. That is where the (ill)logic of the Hoffman signing and Dvorak trade came from.
Regarding Dvorak, while I was never buying the Bergevin idea that he had just traded for a high end 2C, I am nevertheless disappointed. I will give him a bit of a pass because of the injuries and awfulness of the Ducharme portion of the season, but still Dvorak does not look the part. Aside from his notable faceoff prowess and shot, everything else in his game looks average (skating, defensive positioning and awareness) to below average (puck transitioning, backchecking).
