Hoffman ridiculously soft. I knew that was the player he is. 11 short handed goals allowed. Slow clap

Price got an 11 mill bonus payment July 1 2021, the base salary is peanuts and the remaining bonuses are about 6 mill a year. He has 33 mill left in the contract... will he retire because a buyout is not at all worth it

He has 33 mill left in the contract... will he retire because a buyout is not at all worth it It is unfortunate for the club and its fans. But, no, Price is not going to retire because he will not walk away from $31.25 million USD. It does not matter how much is in the bank, that is just human nature. Montreal's return to respectability is certainly going to be slowed by the anchors (Price and Gallagher) Bergevin bestowed on the club.

The loss means Habs will finish bottom two. A top four pick is guaranteed.

Somebody drive a stake into this season. The effort got better after the timeout but there is just so many deadwood dummies on this team

At least the flopper extraordinaire did not get on the scoresheet not even with his sweaty coach spoon feeding him 8 minutes of power play time. But it is, needless to say, absurd how fourth liners managed to score four goals for the Sens.
I will give St. Louis a pass for this half season in charge, but my God how can the special teams continue to be this abjectly bad?

You cannot have an offensive black hole like dvo centering the pp... you cannot have the English version of Drouin (Hoffman) on the pp and we need to find a PP quarterback on the point (god i miss Markov)... simple as that

They have now lost 8 in a row(in regulation) and 9 of their last 10. The only win in there was against Jersey.
A couple of games before that one they actually came back to beat TB. Watching them now, I cant understand how the Bolts let that happen. Unfortunately that satisfying comeback win will probably cost them last overall.

Nah, Vejmelka played last night (out of his mind good in their loss) so it is that Hateri dude from Finland and the Olympics in the net. He only gave up three in the first period against the Blues.
The boys have 31st place nailed down. In retrospect, there was never any reason whatsoever to worry about the Carey Price effect or the coaching change bounce placing the Habs on a trajectory to escape from the cellar. No disrespect to Price or St. Louis, but this roster is what it is.

It's more than I could have hoped for. Coyotes come from 4-1 down to force OT. They lose in the 1st 30 seconds but the loser point puts them in 31st place ahead of Montreal.
I've seen Sateri a couple of times & all I can say is I wish he was playing for Toronto.
