It is hard to fathom that the Habs could end up with only 51 points this season if that was to unfold.

Not sure why Price played in Ott. Thought for sure he'd be at home against the Bruins the night we honour Guy. In any event, we cannot afford Monty or Price to steal a game. But with the current line-up, stealing a game is highly unlikely unless the goalie at the the end puts up a stinker.
I would dearly love to beat the Bruins on the night we honour Guy, but I will just have to suck it up and hope we lose. I think Guy would want a loss for Le Club's future - after all he was a first overall pick!

Not to disrespect a guy who was at the top of his craft for many years, but honestly the L tonight is probably more of a lock if Price starts. He looked hopeless last night as the Sens' fourth line garbage men had the game of their lives.
Montembeault is generally good for letting in a soft goal at some point, but on a few occasions this season he has shown that he can get in that zone and steal one.
Swayman will be in net for Boston. The Bruins are going to be hyper-focused on winning because being the first wildcard offers a much more advantageous pathway in the playoffs.

Can't see Carey doing B2B. Sure he can pick his games but not B2B. Of course he may want to forget about the Sens game, but B2B blowouts is not what the doctor or psyche ordered for his recovery before the end of the season. And tonight's game has a very real chance of a blow out as Bruins will be motivated and pumped and we are terrible.

I wonder what's hurt now? His knees, his feelings, his ego?

Both of the goalies in Laval have been getting lit up this week, so I would assume Montembeault can probably pencil his name in the lineup for the two games next week as well.

I wonder what's hurt now? His knees, his feelings, his ego? He wasn’t moving well in the Philly game. But last night his lateral movement was F-ugly!! I believe that knee is still wonky. In my opinion, the evidence is pointing , now more than ever, that he likely loaded up on painkillers for once last run at the Cup. And he now knows his name will never get on that Cup.

I really wish some of these young guys would absorb this and pick up the torch. Before their time I guess. Would love to see another superstar come to the Habs.

Great to see alumni sitting behind the bench... burgerbrain would have had them at the concession booths ffs... no one does a ceremony like the habs. The road runner almost made me tear up... I flashed back to what he said at Jean Beliveau's funeral.

Montembeault can only do so much. The Habs team defense is porous.

That is a horrible call but Hoffman makes yet another bonehead lazy play at the Blueline resulting in a breakaway, penalty shot, goal

How is that a penalty shot? For that matter, I am not even sure it merited a penalty.

I'm starting to question Marty's judgement a little bit. How can he continue to put Hoffman on the halfwall/point on the PP. He's nothing but a liability, continually coughing up pucks

Keep your head up Bergeron, last time I checked the rulebook hitting is still legal in the NHL. Though, of course, the absurdity is now anytime there is a nice clean hit delivered, there is the asinine we have to jump you and fight.

Should have been a double minor to Marchand for dropping the gloves when he jumped Petry and Frederic should have got a minor to go along with the misconduct when he facewashed Petry at the end of the period. And that penalty shot would NEVER have been called in the Habs favor, probably not even a penalty.. Nice to see the Bruins bias is still going strong in the ref dept

The Haula breakaway was a joke, Hoffman overtook him and then recovered the puck. The goof Haula was embarrassed so he belatedly dropped his stick. A freshman in college reffing in my son's league with almost no training in order to make some beer money would not have been so gullible and clueless as the clowns with whistles at the Bell Centre.

The Bruins aren't done with Petry yet.
Just the way they are.

Evans called for a dive. The ref should just get it over with an exchange his pinstripes for black and yellow

Trevor Hansen must be Erik Haula's uncle or something. That is two incredible gift calls for Haula (who is not exactly a superstar in this league).

Someone , for gods sake, tell Caufield that when they have THREE players on the ice , his ONLY job is to shoot the damn puck ...not stick handle around the perimeter

Hoffman = losses. Play him till he drops. Next year too. Especially next year. Do not trade him until the 23/24 season.
