Montreal had a pathway open to get back in the game in the second period, but the 5v3 and 4v3 blew it.
That does not excuse the officiating (Trevor Hansen) who was making worse calls than you see in a beer league or youth league.

Meh ... two more losses and mission accomplished Yup! Almost there. This one was closer than I wanted but it was good to see the Bruins sweat a little. Although at one point I thought Bruins were letting us win so we don't get first overall - ya I'm a conspirasist. But then I realized, Bruins don't need to throw games when they have Old Man Campbell in the head office who can simply rig the lottery.

That does not excuse the officiating (Trevor Hansen) who was making worse calls than you see in a beer league or youth league. Ref Hansen did everything he could to give the Bruins the game: 1) Penalty on Hoffman was not a penalty, and certainly not a penalty shot; 2) Marchand should have got more than 2 minutes for dropping the gloves and attacking Petry who did not fight back; 3) Marchand should have got 2 minutes for high stick on Josh and 2 minutes for hoisting stick into Josh's groin - yet somehow they are off setting penalties; 4)What the heck was Evans embellishment all about? 5) And the too many men on the ice was obvious - first clue is when 2 bruins jump back off the ice as the puck works its way thru their feet. 6) Clear high stick by Bergeron on Gally with no call. I know they didn't have Pasta, but Bruins ain't doing anything in the playoffs, unless old man Campbell has a say, again.
