Missed game so watched "hi-lite' package of 5 minutes of game. They only showed one hi-lite of Wings goalie making a save. The guy got a shut out. We're we that bad?
Meanwhile they showed Allen making amazing saves.
Maybe Boys were still caught up in Leafs victory - or we're that bad.
We will see Drouin tomorrow. But you'll have to look closely to observe him - you will not hear his name.

Drouin is unquestionably a more skilled stick-handler and passer than Pitlick. But I think Drouin needs to play in a middle-six role with 14-16 minutes a night or else it may not be worth it insert him into the lineup. Pitlick played almost 13 minutes today. Is that not enough for Drouin? With the likelihood of it going up if his line drives play. |

Slafs with lowest TOI on roster at less than 10 minutes - next lowest was Pitlick with 3 minutes more. Slafs was a -2. No biggie given one was on an empty net when the came over for Allen on the fly and the other wasn't his fault. But this can't be good for his psyche.
Play Slafs or send him down!

Dach is really growing on me, I had no idea he was this much of a pest. Kid will get under people's skin and I am here for it.

Refs are instructed (I believe) to call just one penalty on plays like this. Does that make sense? If you get the wrong team, what lesson does that send. It sounds very much like a Colin Campbell decision.

He should have got at least 2 minors 9holding stick and roughing) But Wing on bench should have got one for reaching out. Bottom line, I want guys who will mix it up. Enough of the Drouin's and Hoffman's. |

Dach helping the opposing player into the bench, face first, is Lady Bing material.
Dach has been a huge and pleasent suprise.
Guhle..then Dach...then X. All have been pleasent suprises.
