David Savard is a 3rd pair D. He’s playing 23+ Minutes on the first pair. What else is there to say except that Caufield is s born scorer.

One thing I believe after half a game. I don’t think Pezzetta can play on this team. The skill set isn't there. Course, I firmly believe several vets can’t play in this team either. Nuther Pp comin up.

I'm suprised we're leading but I'll take it.
Dvorak and Dach are trying to be 4c at the same time. Really disappointed.
Hoffman..sheesh
Ghally...needs to sharpen his skates.
CC...50
I'm not sure what to expect In the 3rd

Give an assist to the ref and his game management

Guhle with a lousy pass. Puts the Blues back in it.

If the jackass ref makes the right call there and sends just Krug off, we get a PP and its still 6-3. That was a real blunder. Suzuki did nothing except take a punch.

Leafs lost in regulation so they trail Montreal in the standings. I know it wont last buts it's still fun.

Ugly win. Both teams were making some horrible mistakes. I will say that most of the guys are skating and working hard.
Suzuki and Caufield could turn into a Hull and Oates combo.
Not sure what we have in Dach beside a high draft pick. I have yet to seem him measure up to the hype.
I was hating on Dvorak and then he got the first of three, still don't think I'm wrong

This was a survivors win. The one that survived their mistakes...won.
Tough game for Guhle but came through.
CC...50?
Dvorak...still not impressed.
X...is going to AHL.
We won so can't complain.

Just an observation on my part and I may have missed something else, but I thought the momentum in the first period turned after that shift where Slafkovsky forechecked the Blues into a face off in their end. He pressured 3 different guys, almost stealing the puck. Nothing concrete resulted on the play, but the team seemed more energetic after that.

Wow. I'm not sure when was the last time we played so badly and walked away with such a lopsided score. The turnovers in our end and the inability to clear was crazy.
Suze and Cole sure are a dynamic duo. Sure looks like Dach was a mistake - he's not even aggressive anymore. Sure hope Slafs gets an opportunity on the wing before he is sent down.
We've had one of the worst PP in the league and keep playing same dumb players (Hoffman, Dach, Drouin, Wideman). Finally Slafs gets a chance on the PP and bingo. More please!
Anyone know why Blues didn't get a penalty for their challenge on Dvo's 2nd goal. Or was that a league review. Can the league review a high stick on their own?

I'm not sure why people are coming down on Dach so hard. He did have 2 points & now has 5 points in the 1st 9 games.
We loved this guy when he scored the OT winner against Pitt & now he's a bust?

I agree, the guy will be a very good player, just need some patience...I would like to see Dach, Slaf and Monahan as the 2nd line... the 1st line needs a guy who will go to the front of the net..

I thought the Habs played poorly for 30 minutes and then a game of shinny broke out, which helped facilitate a nice result. However, this makes it tricky to evaluate.
Among the guys who got into the lineup, Pezzetta looked rusty, Armia looked exhausted, and Slafkovsky looked dangerous. The team is bigger with those guys in there so they may as well keep roll with it through the road trip (Minnesota, Winnipeg, Vegas) because these are clubs who like to play heavy.
Suzuki and Caufield are so skilled. Broken plays end up on the highlight reel.
I thought the Dvorak line was actually better against Buffalo, but they just happened to rack up the serious points last night.
Hopefully the power play benefits from a shot of confidence. I liked that they were rifling the puck from everywhere but with some smart and competent penalty killing from the Blues, Hoffman could have gotten exposed at least a couple of times out there.

I see one or two really dumb plays a game (dangerous pass or tries to make a move when we are vulnerable). And I rarely see anything that tells me he's a legit top 6. Perhaps knowing he was a bust in Chicago has created a bias in my assessment. His 2 assists last night were secondary where he managed to get the puck to Nick and let Nick and Cole work their magic. I'm good with a player who recognizes that they should try to get the puck to the best player on the line to make something happen, so may be he'll be a good fit. But given one was a PP assist where he simply fed Nick on the half wall and the other looked more like a stumble and Nick came in and picked up the loose puck, I'm not sold yet. Sure hope I'm wrong.
