I like Mudryk/Poulin as a broadcast crew better than anything on Sportsnet

Dave Poulin : “Kane is closing in on 2000 career points”
Ummm, Dave .. if Kane is closing in on 2000 points, then I’m closing in on 800 career NHL points

There wasn’t a person in Chicago that thought Gallagher would score on that breakaway

Monty is playing great...
And we should get something very good for Monahan

Slaf to the dressing room after taking a shot to the head.

Scored tied , and they put of Gallagher’s line ?? That was risky and almost cost us

Montreal didn’t touch the puck for the first 2:30 of OT … then it was end to end plays with tired players.
Chicago gets a too many men penalty and now it’s 4 on 3 for MTL

Someone on MTL needs to take the reigns and shoot

Very poor 4 on 3 PP so far

Very bad PP. Horrible actually. Only got 2 shots that were from far out
Off to the shootout

We should of been doing the cartoon "no, after YOU" in scoring with the Hawks if we wanted to stay anywhere near the Bedard sweepstakes.

Dach scores to win it for MTL Love all the symbolism around Dach scoring the key goal. Crowd booing level went up when he came out.

They should boo the GM if they're unhappy. He got little back for Debrincat & Kubalik.

Anyway as Cranky says, the fact Dach scored after that says much for his fortitude. Buddy of mine is a Hawks fan (has a logo tattoo) and he texted me immediately after the trade and was WTF. I guess I should send him a message of gratitude.

There wasn’t a person in Chicago that thought Gallagher would score on that breakaway I optimistically thought Gally might make up for that bonehead shift which caused us the Hawk's first goal. Gally had 2 easy opportunities to clear the zone and he blundered both. And then the puck is in our net. Absolutely inexcusable for a vet. MB left HuGo a lot of albatrosses, but Gally may prove to be the greatest. He is now an old man as many predicted given his mileage. He should be major focus for HuGo come trade deadline. Many teams will want him for a playoff run, and he ain't going to increase in value. #clearcap

Monty in the zone, again. Is this a brief stint or is he discovering his game?

Monty in the zone, again. Is this a brief stint or is he discovering his game? There was talk on TSN Overdrive about who would have been Team Canada's goalie if the World Cup went ahead this year it next. The general consensus was the one country that is happy about no World Cup until at least 2025 is Canada, because the current crop of goalies is not playing well. Jonas Siegel, who is quickly becoming nothing more than a Toronto mouthpiece, looked up the save percentages of the Canadian goalies and when he saw Montembeault had the second best save percentage of goalies born in Canada says "he don't count".

He did say he is happy to play in Montreal because it's good to play somewhere where you are wanted ... but his demeanour doesn't match his words. He must have said "they gave up on me" at least 4 times in the interview

A few years ago when I was still commuting I listened to the FAN 590. Occassionally Siegel would come on. He always came across as the intern. A wannabe reporter who doesn't quite cut it.
