Is Drouin getting any closer to the net than the side boards? Not willing to get ‘involved’ in the least. I doubt anyone picks him up next year. Off to Europe if he doesn’t retire.

Burrows needs to be fired. The PP units don't even have a general idea or philosophy of what the plan is. Just lost.
And Drouin on the halfwall, when you have room you're supposed to at least drift toward the slot for a shot. He just stand there looking for an impossible cross ice pass. Don't wanna play? Just go home and save us having to watch your disinterest. Enjoy the Italian league, you just may be the most heartless floater to ever lace up for this team

Galley, Anderson smacked him because the interference on the dump in wasn't called. The ref let him away with it because they knew they made a mistake ....it wasn't getting away with one

The goalies are red hot on this road trip. Otherwise, the Habs would have one or zero points rather than a generous three.
The coaches deserve a lot of credit for keeping this group believing day to day in each other because that commitment shows up to make a difference on quite a few nights where the opponent is basically dictating the proceedings.
I do not doubt they want desperately to succeed out there, but that 2 on 1 with Drouin and Dadonov totally botching a nice scoring chance almost made me throw up.

Dach had. good game. Cole and Suze not so much. Guhle continues to impress. But the vet forwards are just awful to watch - lack of imagination and lack of interest. Just punching the clock and getting the pay check. Ya, I'm looking at you: Drouin, Dads, Armia, Hoffman, Dvo. If we are able to upload all those guys, think of the possibilities.

Yeah, I was surprised at how badly Nick played. Caufield tried to create at times, but he needs Suzuki to work together with him and it wasn't Nick's day today. I always wonder if the altitude in Denver causes us trouble. Even Guhle didn't look like he could skate away from people like he usually does. And yeah, I hate picking up points when they are completely undeserved. You don't learn anything from that. This game was a dog's breakfast and the team might look on it as a cat's breakfast and not be as concerned as they should be. |
