It has been beaten beyond the dead horse, but man Burrows is so bad (by the way, I am not suggesting the players are blameless).
And when getting shet stomped, it sure is nice to have quiet calm Joel Armia in the lineup rather than the healthy scratch Pezzetta. All this team needs is for the Panthers to injure someone like Guhle, knowing the Habs iced a lineup with zero edginess in a division tilt.

There's the late meaningless Kovacevic goal i expected last game... too little too late.

What a pathetic forward lineup. Don't change a thing Marty, stick to your guns, I'm sure they'll break out one day

Oh well. Another two points in the draft bank. Sure Ekman -Larsson. Pad your stats. You were a midden heap while on the Canucks and suddenly you’re a star? Let’s see if you can keep that up in the playoffs. Jerk.

Primeau showed tonight the reasons he will never be a starter in the bigs. Just waive him already. It's no big loss if a team takes him

They need to swap Dvorak and Monahan I find myself wondering if they're showcasing Dvorak.

I selected Josh Anderson to score tonight on the Tim Horton's NHL Challenge 🤞🤞 Well, he had a great game. But nada on the goal front

But this may be the event that gets Marty to change the lines. We currently have four barely mediocre lines as the linemates don't suit each other. Get Cole back with Suze and for G-d's sake, get Dvo off playing centre with any offensive wingers. I would love to see Ylo with Cole and Suze. C'mon Marty, give it a try. We're not going anywhere this season anyway.

The Panthers cannot come close to inspiring the hatred Boston does or even the general dislike of Toronto, but man Florida is annoying. A goal or two would have been nice for Anderson, though at least the guy drilled a few Panthers and beat the crup out of that Gadjovich dude. I remember that preck jumping Romanov after a clean bonecrushing hit.

Just saw the video of the fight.
One word...PUMMELING.
I like to see Gadchasomthing face after that.
We do have two of NHL top 10 heavyweights, actually X may be top one, but it's not showing up in team toughness.

Pezz hits, Armia is a marshmallow, Anderson is tough when he feels it, the rest are muffins... 5 of our forwards are under 6' there is no reason the rest cannot lay the occasional body... bgal hits but it really doesnt have an effect... same with the D... Harris is the only one under 6'...

He's dead to me.

I remember that preck jumping Romanov after a clean bonecrushing hit. Canuck draft pick who figured out he wasn't going to make the NHL on skill, so had to revert to a 4th line 'energy' guy, meaning a player who is useless other than racing at people trying to hit them and starting fights. Good to hear he got clocked. Anderson hadn't done that for a while.

Harris is the only one under 6'... Florida has a couple of guys who can't help in any way but fight, Gadjovich and Stenlund. When they play, you have to make Florida pay. Keep them hemmed in for a couple of minutes. Other that that, Tkachuk gets penalty minutes and then there's Bennett. For my money, he's the key to Florida's grit. Barkov is the skill, Bennett the grit. If someone beat the crap out of Bennett, I think that might have an effect throughout the line-up. Unfortunately we don't have a forward who matches up well in that regard and plays a reasonable number of minutes. It can't be Pezzetta. If we still had KK, I think that would be a good match. He's strong enough and probably has longer arms. Oh well, I'm not a boxing scout either, just a mad Habber. (Just borrowing your moniker briefly, Mad Habber).

When Mailman makes it and Little X can at least start on the 4th line, we will be a handfull.
The Habs need to invest some time in teaching these guys how to fight. No, not turn them into boxers, just how to land punches and protect themselves.
Lucic can box that is why he was so devastating. If X learned too, with his size and power, it would be suicide to look at him sideways.
Right now, like yesterdays fight, despite Anderson 230 pounds, he was flailing away with no knock out power.

Yeah, Anderson (much like Edmundson was in Habs jersey) is big, strong, and a bad*** on the occasions that he gets riled up. That Gadjovich character is only like ten pounds lighter than Anderson and he drops the gloves more frequently, so Anderson with the clear 'decision' is impressive. Honestly, the last time I recall Anderson fighting was last season when Connor Murphy blew up Suzuki and Anderson pummeled him.
Is Little Xhekaj eligible to play in Laval next season?

I don't think little X is eligible... he's only played 2 seasons in the Ohl and he will still be 19 on Jan 1, 2024 The rule states that the player must be 20 before January 1st (or midnight December 31st) or to have played four seasons in the CHL.

Ok then, straight to the lineup. It's not like he has a huge mountain of talent to climb in Pez. I got to go see how's he doing. He really stepped up his offence. Edit...18 points in 22 games. Double last year production rate. I would be thrilled if he developed into a 40 point PF. Given the normal rivalry between brothers, i can see both of them step up even more.

And he cannot play for the AHL...It's to protect the CHL so players cannot go to the Ahl or NHL after their draft year, otherwise the Crosby, McDavid and Bedard types would be gone... the way around it is for a player to be granted exceptional status in the CHL, get drafted at 15, play 4 years and be eligible for the ahl or nhl at 19 like Wright and Bedard

I remember not so many years ago Cale Fleury did not have to go back to the WHL for his D+2 season. I guess he had an autumn birthday.
