Excellent zone exit by Ylonen. Marty, take note. He has missed a ton of good Ylönen notes this season. Give him Pezzetta and Stephens, baby. I swear he has something against Jesse and it seems personal. According to a Basu quote, Marty isn’t happy with his play without the puck. I haven’t noticed anything serious but watching on tv doesn’t make it easy. Jake’s improving his trade value with every save. |

On the Jets goal it appeared MTL were allergic to bouncing pucks. They had numerous chances to get it out, the most egregious being the weak effort by Evans on the loose puck

Good period by the boys, but they got cratered in the last 1-2 minutes, which is why I say the Jets earned that goal, bad bounce or not.

It seems odd to say since the based on the roster listings Evans weighs the same as Vilardi, but the eye test tells me one guy is a relatively big body out there and one guy is not.
I love Evans' smarts, hustle and the way he got his skating over the last 5-6 years up to an NHL level; but when battling for pucks or absorbing a hit, I have always come away thinking Evans is just not 'strong' on his skates.
