Just noticing they didn’t give Newhook an assist on Suzuki’s goal. Pretty sure the puck hit his skate and was directed to Suzuki.

Slaf with a $10 assist Anyone who followed the Twitter feud the past two days know what I mean For anyone that doesn’t know A podcaster this week named Rachel Doerrie (who used to work for the Canucks) called Slafkovsky a bust and not living up to being picked 1OA because he isn’t a PPG player. This led to a backlash from Habs fans, and Habs sites that started calling her out and listing a plethora of 1OA picks the past 20 years that were not PPG as a 19 yr old. She wouldn’t back off her stance and actually doubled down and then in a really weird way (by saying if your man enough, even though she wasn’t “man” enough to admit it was a poor stance) challenged the most persistent poster to a challenge of match her $5 for charity (Canadian Tire Jump Start) for every point Slafkovsky gets the rest of the season starting tonight. He accepted. It should have been $5 an assist and $10 a goal |

Thnak God for the first line and the PP as otherwise these games would not be worth watching. The d is awful: poor coverage and inability to clear inevtiably ends in a goal against. Allen? If HuGo can get a 3rd round pick, that would be a win. The bottom 3 lines are just that: bottom and pathetic. What concerns me most, is that we are only really missing Dach up front. And while we hope he can be a legit top 2 centre, even if he becomes that, we still have a very weak team. So we're left hoping that our young guns develop to elite players. But that's a few years away. Going to be a long road.

But the most glaring miss was MacKinnon. He didn't break that barrier until his 5th season with 3 straight 90+ point seasons. But the most glaring miss was MacKinnon. He didn't break that barrier until his 5th season with 3 straight 90+ point seasons. This genius would have called one of the top players in the league a bust because of some arbitrary line she has drawn. Not her fault, she's out on the Left coast, they smoke too much ganja... lmao |

Taking the analysis a little further: are any of the picks in Juri's year anywhere close to PPG? Shany Wright can't even do it in the AHL where he is mired.
And to put a Canucks slant on this no-mind talking head: The Sedins twins, who Canuck fans believe walk on water, were drafted 2nd and 3rd overall and were 27 and 30 years old before they got PPG status. And neither twin put up the points Juri has this season until they were 23.

I grew up in Mtl and moved to Vancouver in 1984. I thought i was in God's Country then. But then I moved to Victoria and realized Vancouver was 40 kms short of the Promised Land.
