Dale Tallon, wow. And cool photo of our boys there.
Montreal is playing good hockey in the last week against top teams (Toronto, Boston, Edmonton). Vancouver has cooled off to a degree and Demko is hurt.
According to the NHL Network, Pearson will be on the second line (Newhook's). Never say never, but for me it is increasingly safe to presume that Ylonen is not going to be tabled a contract this summer. And if the coaches think Harvey-Pinard can sort of play center, then why the frick is the ghost floater White still in the lineup? In reality, aside from the first line and the progress of the young d-men, watching Habs from puck drop to final horn is a chore at this point of the season.
Will the Habs play structured, disciplined hockey tonight, understanding that the Canucks still have an incredibly talented lineup? Or will they relax and prefer a game of shinny?
Well, we will find out soon enough. Actually, I will be lucky if I can keep my eyes open through two periods.

I expect a colossal ass kicking laid on us unless Monty steals the show

Accurate analysis folatre. I've given up expecting anything to happen when the 1st line is not on the ice.
I'm hoping Slafkovsky can break the club record held by Tremblay for points in a season by someone under 20 for 2 reasons: it's a great sign of his development AND I can't stand Mario Tremblay. Roy may have patched things up but I haven't.
It's a 10pm start here so I may get one period in.

The first live NHL game I saw was Habs/Canucks in late 73 or early 74. (It was a long time ago). Gainey was a rookie and had this dumb curly haircut. Like a living bottle brush. Habs won of course. Can’t recall the score, 4-1 or 5-2. Something like that. I do recall that my good friend and two girls we met who were Hab fans and had cow bells were noisier than the other 17,000 people there. It was a hoot. Standing room. Was a university student so who could afford a seat? Rode in the back of a pickup in winter for 400 km. We were determined.

RHP can’t handle a board pass cleanly, turnover and a screen shot goes in. 1-0 Canucks.

Guhle gets an interference penalty but I didnt see him in the play at all. It might have been Kovacevic.

how did these morons miss the Blueger elbow on Guhle. The puck was right there. What were they looking at. They dont make the blatant call & it leads to another Vancover goal.

Well Netflix is calling... I'm sure I'll be kept up to date on the score from my Canuck fan friends.
It's been a few years since this match-up has been competitive in any way

I'm not watching this Saperlipopette anymore This is slmost like the Raptors where all 5 of their starters are injured or on leave. The only question is how much they’re going to lose by. If the 1st line isn’t on, it’s masochistic. It’s especially hard when Anderson is out there.

Ferraro on Sportsnet PACIFIC was quick to claim that it wasn't penalty because Guhle was making a play on Blueger nit the other way around. Like what???

Armia doesn’t get it upstairs off a great setup from Newhook. and DeSmith makes a save.
