My take: They pick a 6’2” left handed D from a strong Swedish junior program in Skellefteå with the second last pick of the draft. Bobrov said they target either Euros or college kids with late picks to give the players a longer runway to develop and the team a longer time to decide on an ELC or not. The regional scouts liked him, and they have found some pretty decent somewhat off the radar kids from Sweden in both Eriksson and Engström recently, so who knows. He has decent size, makes a decent first pass and had 12 points in 36 games with his junior team that ended up winning the Swedish J20 title. Along with Thorpe and Khanin, he was the third 19 year old re-entry pick for the Habs this draft for those keeping tabs.
There are no scouting reports out there to share.
