That 3rd pair is awful and the goaltending wasn’t great on that first goal. I’d have to see if Hutson was overwhelmed in front. Lane the set up Farrell who hit the crest.

They’re certainly not getting hi danger chances. leafs are mor structured all over the ice. That’s odd unless they’re an older team with more AHL guys who have played together. Don’t know if that’s the case. We have a brand new coach too, who has been busy with a lot of other duties.

Hutson trying to make things happen. Loses the puck , gets it back sends Heineman away and another Farrell is breaking for the net but Heineman’s pass is too far. These are basics for this level of play. Giving and receiving passes should be a given.

I liked that last Hutson play. Last seconds of PK, bodies a guy ftom the puck (!) and rather than dumping for a change he keeps possession and they still make the change.

Not impressed with Davidson at all. A good zone entry by Mesar and Davidson takes a wrist shot from 40 feet away. Note to Jared - you do not have a Brett Hull or Mike Bossy wrist shot. Maybe try something else.

That penalty was taken by Nathan Mayes who has s brother, Sawyer, playing in the WHL. Nathan was drafted in the 7th round. Their grandfather used to be Salmon Arm’s mayor and MP. Very right wing Christian type. Used to keep a bible in his mayor’s office. Not my favourite politician. A closer description would be jacka$$.

Just to continue that story. A guy I know was out on a walk with Mayor Mayes (who was running for MP at the time). Responding to some comment, his wife replied that the Conservatives could run a fire hydrant in this riding and it would win. True, it would.
He was an inept MP. Did little for the riding.

Even though we dominate at times the Leafs positioning is constantly better. Notice how often rebounds, blocked shots etc seem to end up on a Leaf stick.

Hutson looks better to me today. I love how he’s avoiding big hits and still making good passes. The Leaf guys are really trying to hirt him and he’s making fools out of them.

Florian needs to tune up Parsons again. There’s that example of Leaf morons trying to hurt Hutson. We hopefully get a PP but will have to see
