Marty is a ****** idiot. Does he know how to break the other teams concentration by calling g a time out?

So I couldn't watch the game. How did Michkov look compared to Lane. I can only speak for myself but when Lane is on the ice it's pretty difficult not to see how talented this guy is with his skating, vision and passing. Is Michkov equally noticeable?
I see Lane only got 21 TOI behind Maths and Savard. i'm good with easing up on the kid's TOI.

That last 2 mins is a classic example of what I mean by simple mistakes. Over and over and over, they had a chance to clear that puck out, and what did they do? Just chip it, many times one handed, back to the blueline. That has to be coached into them, cause there is no way you do that and think you are reliving pressure. At one point, with about 2:30 left. They actually got it out, and there was a wide open Hab cross ice along the left wing boards. It would have been an easy empty net goal to make it 5-2. They didn't even look to pass, it was chip it down the right wing boards and set up the shooting gallery again

The better teams don't panic in those situations and take a moment to look for the best play, not the simple one. I'm just guessing, but I bet Hutson wasn't the guy trying 'to just chip it out'. He strikes me as having more ice in his veins and he has the ability to control the puck when pressured. I'm not picking on anyone (didn't see the game), but some players have a higher panic threshold than others and if you've been in your own end for an extended period, that panic threshold lowers for everyone.

Run around in the defensive zone and finally get possession only turn it over and go back to running around. Sometimes it's failed execution on a clear or outlet pass. Other times pocket gets picked. There was a play late in the game where we gained control and the clearing attempt hit (I believe) Heineman in the face to keep it in the zone. That was a new one.
