I love this quote from Sinden on the TSN page in reference to the 5-0 loss to Calgary last week:
"There's no way you could say Calgary played very well," Sinden noted. "Calgary played a poor game and they beat the hell out of us. That's scary. They didn't have to do anything...Calgary comes in and they're a very average team. There's something seriously wrong here when we can't perform at home against Calgary when they're playing poorly."
Sinden is a total ***. Sure in reality Calgary is not one of the best teams in the league, but right now they are winning (and deserving of all their success) because they are playing as a TEAM.

What a class act! His team is slumping so he takes a shot at the Flames.
Calgary isn't getting much respect from anybody. Their streak almost mirrors that of the leafs in style and length but no one takes them seriously. TSN recently ran a poll on Cup chances of Canadian teams (Vancouver won by the way) and Calgary wasn't even included. McKenzie brought it up after the other "experts " were done.

I called a good season from the Flames. I may not have said it here, but I really liked the moves Sutter made over the summer.
Without a doubt, with the great defense this team plays, they will be an excellent playoff team.

I can't wait to see Calgary make the playoffs. Even if they get killed in the first round, their fans have waited a long time.

I'm not so sure Sinden's comments are a direct shot at the Flames. They mustered 5 goals on well under 20 shots. I think that is what Sinden meant. He's trying to get his team mad in hopes that they'll bust out. Harry doesn't want to go out and make a trade. He might have to spend more $$ then. ;D

I've been waiting for their goaltending to realize it was a phony phone booth they were in and that "S" on their chest stands for 'Silly'.

Sinden can complain all he wants about his team--they're his team. Unless he decides that winning is important and starts spending money (not likely to happen, given ownership's position) then he will continue to have a team that he can yell at occasionally, will win occasionally, will make the playoffs and give the Boston fans something to dream about before reality sets in (like the other Boston franchises!) occasionally. A dash of hope at the beginning of the season becomes dashed hopes by the end of the season.
I think that Sinden is like Leaf leadership: who cares if we win as long as we make money. And as long as fans keep ponying up at the ticket window there'll be no change for either team.

I am so upset at this.......yes indeed. Even my mop is weeping.... I would not be surprised if they place a very highly paid player on the market. They can not afford to pay high salaries because they are NOT filling the arena. They are not filling the arena because they are not willing to keep their expensive talent. The Booins vicious downward cirlce that we can all enjoy! ;D

The Bruins aren't playing well. If they don't snap out of it they could be passed. Reminds me of last season, when they went into a tailspin after going 19-4. In the game against the Rangers, Holik dominated Thornton and scored 2 goals. Thornton got 1 PP assist.
