Just watching the Canucks / Avs game. Some minor leaguer, took out the NHL's leading scorer with a deliberate elbow to the head. Naslund had to leave the game for stitches, while the only penalty was given to the Canucks when Brad May went after the guy. That really makes for good entertainment when superstars are injured by cheapshots. I have to agree with JR in that the NHL needs to wake up. And if I weren't already annoyed enough about this, the Toronto Sports Network is reporting the incident as a "collision" - near the end of their post game article. If Sundin were the victim of such a hit, all we'd hear about, for the next week, would be how elbowing has reached epidemic proportions. www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=72470

The NHL achieves parody as the CBA's (and the NHL television contract's) expiration date looms ever closer. Coincidence? Maybe.

I'd go head-hunting for Sundin. I'd probably embarrass myself, but if I clock him, then I'd be happy.
I'd also be the biggest cheapshot in the league, because I took out a Maple Leaf.

Why Bobby Holik is still playing right now is unbelieveable to me. Did you see him elbow Keith Primeau? Deliberate attempt to injure by one of the biggest cheap shot artists in the game. This is why the league has to take away the instigator rule.
