Unfortunately I live in what TSN calls the leaf region and at least once a week I am subjected to the duo of Hodge and Healy on leaf broadcasts ( not to mention Bowen & Neale doing the play by play).
During the off season there were lots of rumors about the next leaf GM and even Healy's name came up. After watching him for the last week or so, I am convinced he thinks he is running the team.
His Gonchar to the leafs dreams are becoming a joke. I'm sure Ferguson knows who Gonchar is but Healy brings this up again tonight. He even suggests that because Bondra went cheaply, that Gonchar can be had for a steal. He doesn'y analyse the situations of the 2 players - just makes a stupid remark.
Watching buffoons like Steve Simmons and Glen Healy ( and a pompous Dave Hodge) make me appreciate the solid , low key approach of Bob McKenzie.

I apologize for bringing this up again but I just saw Healy arguing the Leetch trade on TSN with Steve Simmons on TSN's poor copy of the ESPN show - Pardon The Interruption.
A couple of weeks ago he couldn't stop talking about how important it was to get Gonchar. Well now that Toronto lost out on him his reaction is ' forget Gonchar - Leetch is the guy"
Like most leaf fans, he has a short memory. He probably forgot what he said last week.

Glenn Healey won a Cup ring sitting on the bench and he thinks he's GM material....enough said.
It's like Corey Schwab wanting to replace Lou Lamoriello.
