Well for the most part the teams that will contend are the ones spending the $$$$.
The salary structure is way over the top but are the Canadiens that bad off that they should be ranked 17th in payroll?To me regardless of the current league plight that doesn't seem right.
I can't quite buy into that one.
Would you not think the Habs with #1 attendance should atleast be in the top ten?

The Habs also carry the heaviest tax burden in the league - apparently it adds up to more than the total amount of tax paid by all the US teams - who make their dollars in US while our very full stands translate to Canadian funds...
Would not surprise me if the Habs were one of the main teams bleeding cash...
