If you dislike the Rangers, root for them to win as many games as possible the rest of the way. They are currently in 6th-to-last place, only one removed from the Ovechkin lottery. They have two 1st round picks and three 2nds as a result of their recent trades, and they'll probably get more. The more they lose, the better their shot at Ovechkin. Not only that, but they could barter all of their 1st and 2nd rounders to increase their chances of geting him.

This is a good point. As of now, Pittsburgh is in the running for Ovechkin, but the thing is, in the next few years, as poor as the Penguins franchise is (I'm talking money-wise, not quality-wise), will they be able to afford him after his first contract...? Same with Marc-André Fleury. The Rangers could afford Ovechkin, and seriously overpay him, and destroy his career. I'm worried for Josef Balej (who may be the best prospect on their team ) .
