Leetch Love Fest Part II

Well, I wished the Leafs could have cooled Buffalo's jets tonight....but the dark side of me enjoyed the Sabres embarrassing the Leafs 5-1

What was worse was listening to Glenn Healey embarrass himself with his love of Leetch.

Leetch can do no wrong in Toronto-land. His overblown 3-point performance against the lacklustre Isles (all 3 on the PP....one on a 5 on 3) has enjoyed legendary status already.

The climax was on a Buffalo goal....Leetch had pinched in and couldn't get back in time. If it had been Kaberle, Healey would have said, "Kaberle should not be pinching in this situation."

But since it was Leetch, he said, "Leetch pinched in, and no one covered for him."

I almost threw something at the screen.

And don't tell me to go to radio coverage because not only is it about 3 seconds behind, Joe Bowen and Jim Ralph are unbearable homers.

Best to watch it Marcel Marceau-style.

I heard this too and was thinking the same thing. Healy has done the big Gonchar / Leetch flip flop. After beating the drums for Gonchar on TSN, he tries to tell the listeners that it was Leetch he wanted all along.

Now when Leetch makes a mistake ( on for 3 GA last night) he feels compelled to expain it away. He is starting to make Greg Millen look good.

BTW, why is CBC using 3 guys in the booth? They have done this before and it's completely unnecessary - especially when the 3rd guy is Healy.

And why were Cole and Neale in L.A. covering the Habs?
What ever happened to the days of the Bill Hewitt Toronto broadcast and the Danny Gallivan Montreal broadcast? This play-by-play rotation at CBC has to stop. Leave Cole and Neale to the Leafs.

I think they have seniority and wanted to go to sunny La la land for a break from the winter.

About 2 weeks ago ( Feb 23) on HNIC, Hrudey just tore a strip off Leetch.

He was doing the Habs game last night. I wonder why he was not asked to give his opinion on this trade.

He certainly deserves more air time than a goof like Healy.
