This won't help the Bruins much in the playoffs. So now the trade is McLaren for Boyes (and Hackett ;D). I think the Bruins got the worst of last year's deal and also this year's. Jillson was supposed to be a good prospect, ot at least the Bruins' Hainsey (Jillson was a San Jose 1st rounder).

I'm not sure why the Bruins would do this. Boyes will not be able to help them until next season.

I would think that they would want Jillson around this year for some insurance.

a correction. it seems that the Bruins also got Delmore from the Sabres.

DEFENCEMAN ANDY DELMORE WAS TRADED BY THE BUFFALO SABRES TO THE SAN JOSE SHARKS IN EXCHANGE FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS. HE WAS THEN SHIPPED WITH BRAD BOYES TO THE BOSTON BRUINS AS PART OF TODAY'S EARLIER THREE-WAY DEAL BETWEEN THE BRUINS, SHARKS AND SABRES.

now it makes more sense on the bruins part, I think.
