Nothing has created the interest and generated the comments that the Bertuzzi Attack/Roughing incident has. It's because we like violence. We watched and rewatched the strike, analyzed it in minutiae formed an opinion and didn't let the other posts change it.
That's why we watch hockey instead of figure skating. Our interest in figure skating occurs:
a) every four years
b) when two female skaters get into a cat fight andones boyfriend breaks the others knee
c) when a French judge is accused of corruption for voting against a sweet Canadian pair
d) when an effeminate male holds a bouquet of roses waiting for his score and thanks his trainer for loving him
We turn to the late news and replays when there was a hockey game with:
a) a bench clearing brawl
b) Don Cherry was censored for saying something stupid
c) Montreal beat Toronto or Canada beat Russia
d) a game had no penalties
It's hockey. Noses are broken, fights happen, mistakes are made. No matter where the line is drawn, someone will cross it and be penalized. Bertuzzi crossed the line and was punished. It wasn't criminal.

From your title, I thought you were referring to the number of Bertuzzi threads we have on this board. By my count, eight. Did we really need another?
