With a win tonight, the Sabres are now 4 points behind the Islanders for the 8th and final playoff spot in the East. They have 76 points while the Islanders have 80.
Who do you want to get that last spot?

Buffalo.
I can't stand Milbury ..... plus at least the Tampa-Buffalo series will be better to watch.
EDIT: And if the Isles don't make the playoffs then maybe Ryder will be looked at before Hunter for the Calder. ;D

Who do you want to get that last spot? Whoever will be able to battle Tampa for 7 games and wear them out somewhat.... I'd guess that would be the Isles.

Doesn't matter much to me. I don't think we'll be facing either one of them however, I do agree with PTH's sentiments.

The Islanders won this afternoon, so they're 6 points up on the Sabres. I think the Sabres are solid in every position except for goaltending.

Islanders dropped their past two games, and are only 5 points up on the Sabres. The Sabres host the Blue Jackets tonight, who have won three in a row (I think).
Islanders: 86 Points; 3 Games Remaining Sabres: 81 Points; 4 Games Remaining
Think the last game of the season for the Sabres (against us) will have any meaning to them...?
