...in dealing with broadcast teamsBy WILLIAM HOUSTON Thursday, May 6, 2004 - Page S3 Bob Cole and Harry Neale have been bounced, at least for a few days, from the CBC's top assignment in the National Hockey League playoffs. Chris Cuthbert and Greg Millen, who have received good reviews for their work in the postseason, will call the first three games of the Calgary Flames-San Jose Sharks Western Conference final, while Cole and Neale will stay in the East. - full article

Does Millen have any degrees of separation with the Sharks? If so, we could see another Hurricane (Whaler) vs. Montreal broadcasting fiasco.
Actually, I had no problem with Millen in the Habs-Lightning series. He was pretty fair to both teams.
At least it's not Glenn Healy. What a Leaf shill this guy is. Unabashedly cheering for Detroit on the CBC.
As for Cole and Neale, message heard loud and clear. After the Leafs' lost to Philly, I posted that the ripping sound you hear is "fans' hearts, Leafs' flags being torn from vehicle windows, and CBC executives yanking the hair from their heads."
That article you posted about the CBC Leaf-bias proved the latter in spades. Still mystifying to me why Don Cherry is having contract problems with them. He brings in more revenue than the swag booths at the ACC.

How much ad revenue does CBC stand to lose if Cherry walks/is fired? A pretty penny, I would wager.
