What is not too well known is that the best player who ever played hockey has ties to Belarus. No, Wayne Gretzky is not Belarusian but his grandfather immigrated to Canada at the beginning of the 20th century from a town in Belarus called Mogilev, which soon became a part of the Soviet empire. With such a tradition, Belarus deserved to enjoy at least a degree of success in ice hockey. Eventually, some came. - world.ohf.cz/blr/
