Briere will never sign with the Habs no matter what kind of money thrown his way! He will never play for the Habs or for the Sens.......... Briere is an extremely private person and likes to leave the game at the rink. If he were to sign with the Habs, he would become an instant celebrity and his private life would be under the microscope constantly. He doesn't like that at all!! He likes to leave work at work and not become a daily topic and have his kids and wife hounded by media. As it is right now, he is giving his all for Buffalo because he figures this is his last season with them........ He likes California! The lifestyle, the weather.......San Jose and Anaheim are set so take it for what it's worth, Briere will be in a Kings uniform next season!

Thanks for the info Bugsy.
I would appreciate the sources behind it, but it's believable anyway as liking privacy and California are not highly uncommon character traits for celebrities.
or maybe... Daniel Brière! reveal yourself!

I'm not Dan, but California is a safe haven for hockey players. They have maybe 1 journalist covering the game and most of the fans wouldn't reconize the players off the ice. It falls behind Basketball, Baseball, Football, Golf, College sports, Bowling, etc. in terms of popularity. In Cali, people aren't looking for hockey players on the street, the media isn't following the players around to find out where they shop. The players live a quiet, well paid existence out there! And I can't reveal the source, he'd spear me!

And I can't reveal the source, he'd spear me! Interesting choice of words. Briere speared Ovechkin .... getting the info straight from the horse's mouth?
