I think Kostitsyn's stock is up tonight.

I think Kostitsyn's stock is up tonight. The talent is there no doubt about it. He's strong, has creativity and sees the ice incredibly well. Problem is, does he do like Perezhogin and Bulis and turn the engine on every couple of shifts or games, or does he put it together for good... IMO, like for many enigmatic Russians, nobody has any clue which buttons to press to motivate him and get him going. He presses his own buttons when he darn feels like it. I remain cautiously skeptical.

has a gainey trade rumour ever come to fruition? True, but it makes for good discussion, don't you think ?

Doesn't Richards have a no-trade clause? Boom goes the dynamite to this "rumour". Also in today's Journal de Montreal Feaster tears PJ a new one, calling the rumour totally without basis, having never even spoken to Gainey. (So he says). PJ show starting in a few seconds. Should be interesting.

To Tampa: A. Kots, Ryder, Halak To Mtl: Andre Roy, Brad Richards I know, I know it's a PJ romor but it's very interesting...... Any deal that's going to include a player like Richards (or Lecavalier) is going to have to include Plekanec going back the other way. Throw Plekanec in there, take out Kostitsyn and this deal gets a lot more interesting.

Feaster is dealing from a position of POWER. Obviously he won't do anything unless it improves his team now. How does he improve a team with a glut of quality forwards by trading for forwards? The players on this team that would interest him are Komi, Markov, and MAYBE Huet. Are we willing to part w/ the first 2? Ya gotta give something to get something.

Until the last two wins, the pressure was building on Feaster. As it gets closer to the trade deadline and if the team is in danger of missing the playoffs, the pressure will be immense. At that point, a deal that he wasn't interested in, in November, he may want in March.
Remember, buy low, sell high.
