Does anyone know what the picking order is when a player is on waivers ?
What team gets first right ? If it's the standings, what do they do since all the teams haven't played the same amount of games ? Is it the standings from last year ?

Which suggests that goalies aren't going at a premium . . . even if it is a struggling Brysgalov

I can see PHX or Pittsburgh taking a shot.

With Rolonson struggling the Oilers should grab him, they might as well get something else back from the Ducks since they will get a good shot at Stamkos. HFTO

Who knows with Brian Burke nhlpa.com shows Hiller at 850k & Bryzgalov at 1.3 million. Not a huge difference but about 500k less for the Ducks.

Well, the Oilers passed on him and he's now property of the Phoenix Coyotes. He should fit in well there, but why would you make a move to get you down the pecking order at the draft by a few positions when you know you are not making the playoffs?

He wants to go somewhere where he'll play, and play he shall. This could be like the story where Damian Rhodes wanted out of Toronto, and finally got traded to Ottawa. He then helped lead that team to its first playoff berth.

Nice message Bryzgalov sent to Burke today. Shuts out the Kings in his first game with Phoenix. Take that Burke, you jerk. (I never liked Burke).

Bryzgalov was not going to be the #1 and knew it; Burke accomodated him by trying to trade him and eventually letting him go for nothing.

Ilya's happy, Burke is happy, the Coyotes are howling gleefully and the Ducks are doing swimmingly well. Seems like the move has turned out ok so far.
