6 points in 6 games with Atlanta so far
EDIT; Dec24 - now 8 points in 7 games.
I guess Pittsburgh was wrong about him. Don't know how much time he gets with Kovulchuk & Hossa but I'm sure it helps.

do you have a link Doc? I was reading about this on another board & several posters felt that this was speculation on Lavoie's part & that he had no real sources. BTW, he has 3 goals since he went over to Atlanta. Right here: www.rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/242453.htmlAnd according to Pedneault during last night's telecast, it was Recchi's agent who contacted Gainey, informing him of his client's interest in returning to Montreal. Gainey apparently answered that Recchi doesn't fit in Gainey's plans. Who to believe?

I am sure there is a "requesting list" the NHL composes and reporters with sources could easily find out what teams tried to acquire players on waivers

I wouldn't have said 'no' like Gainey did, that's for sure.

Well, at least Gainey appears to have a plan.
And yes, my patience is wearing thin. But reeling off a dozen Ws in a row will go a long way into bringing me solidly back into his camp.

I'd pick up the last of Recchi's contract. I always liked him and he can still be productive - 68 points last year. People laughed at the thought, but Recchi has 18 points in 18 games with the Thrashers and is averaging about 16 minutes of ice. He's stilll productive at his age and would have cost us nothing to get. He's also friends with Koivu and would have fit perfectly on a line with Saku and Latendresse. Recchi is a consummate pro - he always plays a smart game and knows how to faciltate the offense.

They really dissed him in the media after he left. It was sweet watching him score the shoot out winner against the Penguins last week.
