To be honest my reservations about trading Higgins has nothing to do with anything he does on the ice. It has to do with trading a very good friend of Komisarek, and risking his interpretation of trading a guy, as Marvin wrote, who wears the C-H on their heart and sleeves. I wouldn't think it would bode well. As much as these guys are professionals, I think it might leave a sour taste in his mouth.

Honestly guys, I'll be surprised if anything goes down at all. It's the same thing every year around the same time of year.
Cheers.

Although I think Hossa addresses a big need for us, getting him won't be enough. Our weaknesses was thoroughly exposed against Ottawa the other night. Unless we can shut down that line, we are going nowhere. Right now, our 2nd, third and fourth line are not doing the job.
Brisebois has to go! Hammer can't get back fast enough.

The Habs definitely need more than Hossa thats for sure they need more size, some grit, and another d man. However if they did get a Hossa type they maybe able to hide some of those flaws in the short term when this team decides to compete. Obviously this team needs more depth so maybe the Habs take a step back and bide their time for another year and let the chips fall where they may.Should that be the case they are sellers this year, maybe not for picks but for useful players much like the Carolina trade, that obviously would include moving players other than our obvious UFA's.
