BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR?? A huge game like this deserves to have a game thread up a day before! ;D Anyone want to bet MT will pull something incredibly stupid off like scratching Markov and playing Traverse? saying Traverse 'needs' to get back in the lineup because he is important to our team

Habs will win 5-1 on goals by Petrov (2), Kilger, Ribiero, and Markov. Skipping out of work early to watch the carnage on satellite TV. Cooler full of ice chillin Moosehead. Even MT cant spoil this for me. Lindros will be flattened (we need Komisarek and Ulanov today) because Brisebois won't be hitting anybody. Fleury will be moved out from in front of the net by Boullion (only guy small enough for him to move and he's the only Hab D-man who is hitting. Boivin can't ruin the game because I don't know what he is doing when he's not selling the team to someone who has no money. Molson's can't ruin the game because I won't be drinking and pissing any. Houle can't spoil the game for me because he can't trade anything but trading cards. Tremblay can't spoil the game because he won't be there. Bonnie Lindros can't spoil the game for me because she needs to wear a Burka to get into the Gardens and if she does, we won't have to see her. The only people who can spoil the game are the players giving a half hearted effort and that won't happen, will it?

Tonight’s game is one of the most important game of the year. It will be a tough, hard played game that has no room for Boullion Cube and Ribs. If the clueless coaching had half a brain, they would realize that they should bring up Hainsey, Hossa and Belanger. But, unless they have taken to reading HabsRus for sound managerial and coaching advice, they will not do the obvious.
This game will be fought by man, ready to inflict and recieve pain. Not smurfs, perusing the wonders under Snow Whites skirt.
Unfortunatly, the current version of the Hab's can only inflict pain on our expectations of them..........and I really hope I am WRONG.

Beating the Rangers by a 5-1 score would be sweeeeeeeeeeeet.Always fun hearing NYC boos and empty seats ;D

I agree, this game will be a war.The Rangers will probably send out the McCarthy-Lindros-McKenna line against us to start the game and set their tempo on this game. Of note, Richter has been terrible since the Olympics...so...SHOOT BOYS SHOOT!

We are 0-2-0-1 against the Rangers this year. All the games between these 2 teams have been close. The 2 losses in regulation were in Montreal when Blackburn was amazing and the OT loss was in NewYork.
Time to win a game against them.
Theodore has to come up big in this game.Something tells me he will.

Is Lindros still playing? Isn'the out with a bruised foot from taking a shot off the skate?

I have the feeling if we win this game tonight we'll make it to the playoffs.
But we have to win convincingly. I'm sick of being outshot, outchanced, outplayed and slipping by with a 2-1 win.
Play hard from start to finish. Is that too much to ask for a bunch of millionaires?

Is Lindros still playing? Isn'the out with a bruised foot from taking a shot off the skate? I read in the paper today he could be considered 'probable'.By the way, Malakhov is also a doubtful case, he has back trouble. It would be huge to have no Big E and Malakhov.

Another interesting twist to this game:
We know what happened 6 months ago...but do you guys know what happened 4 months ago?
We were in New York facing the Rangers.
Amazing how the NHL calendar works.

No score after 1. The first few minutes were ...great pace, plenty of physical play.Heck, I thought I was seeing Vancouver-San Jose once more. But after that..well, let me put it this way, is there a guy sleeping smilie? Oh yeah, how many shots did we have? 5? come on boys!

And Theo gets a roughing minor clearing out his own net!!! Talk about a one men team.

Holy cow, I was sure Theo was hurt after those 5 dudes pilled up on him! What was Dougie doing passing it to Odjick instead of Petrov on that 3-0?? Zednik is the best Habs forward tonight IMO, yet what does MT do? plays Odjick(on one foot) with Gilmour and Petrov to end the period.Dumb, just plain dumb. What is MT's fascination with playing Odjick on an offensive line? ? 0-0 after 2...get the feeling 1 goal will determine this game.

I am going out on a limb and saying Petrov gets the game's lone goal assisted by Zednik and Markov.

How stupid can you get... Game is tied with a minute left and Therrien puts on the ice Odjick/Van Allen/Berezin... Goodness this coach is dumb...

M(?*&%?*&%?&*$%&?*%*& McGough...how the hell could he miss the Fleury cross check to the HEAD of Berezin and what the hell did he do kicking the puck back to Brisebois who had no idea it was coming.Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargggggggh what a huge loss . What the hell was MT thinking? what was that line he put out on that play? Odjick, Berezin and Van Allen? how moronic can you get. Great 3rd period though.Too bad Dougie's goal didn't count.

Juneau wasn't there men... it was Odjick with Van Allen and Berezin... 3 players from 3 different lines: an injured goon, a 4th liner and a guy that can't play defense... To protect a tie on the road with less then a minute... I can't believe it... I just can't. Nobody can be that dumb... How can you even justify using that combination of guys at that point... The guy is obviously wired wrong... Someone would tell me Therrien was paid to lose this game and I'd belive it.
