HUGE GAME! With a win tonight, we will be all alone in 8th place and can pretty much put the Sabres away...but if we lose, oh the race just got tighter...
Game is on CTV Sportsnet...ooops, *Rogers* Sportsnet...LOL

If Varada even looks sideways at, or looks poised to take a run at, Theo ... I think we have him taken out by a discreetly positioned sniper just behind the grassy knoll .. er ... the club seats. Seriosly, at the first sniff of that 3rd rate Ted Nolan wannabe (Lindy Ruff) sending anyone out to get stupid have Gino go at him until the officials and paramedics attempting to spoon the guy off the ice outnumbers the players on both benches. Sorry about the mini tirade but Ruff loses his last lifeline goalie in the off season, struggles and inspires cheap dirty play all in the need to cover up the fact he shouldn't be a head coach in this league. Hell, I don't know if he's even bright enough to be a yes man.

Hopefully, Gino will take a run at whoever goes after Theo. But if he doesn't...he should be released.

We are 1-2 against the Sabres this year. Last year, I believe, we went 2-3.(but most of the games were early in the year when we were terrible)

Let's not forget, although Biron is able to play well, he is not the Dominator. Habs 3-0.

Buffalo or not, the word should be passed on crystal clear that no one approaches Theodore. It's not for Odjick alone to insure the security of our goalies, every dmen on this team will have to severely decrease their tolerance at allowing opponents to run our goalie. How many times have we seen dmen just skating away from a scrum? Their should be 0 tolerance for that: Whether you're Brisebois, Quintal or Markov: you're caught playing chicken, you spend the next game in the press box.

Watch out for Killer tonight.IF there is one guy in a Habs uniform who wants to beat the Sabres, it's him.He also hates that puke Varada.

Man, do we ever look freaking pathetic tonight.
What were the shots in that 2nd period? 17-4 or something?
No intensity, no emotion, no forecheck, etc.
3-0 Sabres

I cannot believe that Varada has been allowed to live after running into Theodore again! This guy should be picking his teeth and a patella or two up off the ice right now!
Our guys are playing with such an astonishing lack of passion right now that it's embarrassing. I'm embarrased by this team. They don't stand up for their goalie, they can't buy a decent shot on net to save their lives, and they have less heart than the freakin tin man. If this is the real Montreal Canadiens, then we've got no business in the playoffs.
I seriously can't understand why the Sabres aren't being made to pay a price. Why isn't Gino Odjick or Aaron Asham running full-speed into Martin Biron right now? What happened to an eye for an eye in hockey? Why is this team allowing Theodore to be MAULED? My blood pressure must be through the roof right now, I'm so livid watching this game..
Ok, end of rant for the time being.. Let's hope Dougie gives this team a serious tongue-lashing in the intermission, and inspires them, because God knows Therrien doesn't seem to be doing it.

SOME SOME FREAKIN EMOTION!

I think you hit the nail on the head there, MPLabbe, there's been absolutely zero emotion this game. They've let everything fall by the wayside, it's like they just don't give a Saperlipopette. Do they not realise these two points could come back and bite them in the ass? And where would their playoff hopes be if they lost Theodore as well?? Shameful.

No emotion is an understatement. In a game like this, you need to show you WANT TO WIN! we showed nothing of that. This starts with the coach on down.I thought Therrien was an emotional coach, a guy who WOULD blow a fuse when his team plays like crap, he has shown nothing of that recently.Do you think Keenan would accept this kind of performance? no way.Heck,I don't even think AV would accept it.They would have called a timeout after we fell behind 2-0 and gave them the riot act. Also, where was Gino Odjick tonight to create some forechecking with some bodychecks? where was Asham? Kilger? why didn't anybody try to blow Varada's knee out after he tried to hurt Theodore again?

And what makes this loss a huge one...Washington and Carolina pick up a point, the Isles lost to COLUMBUS(could have gained ground on them), the Devils are facing the Ducks tonight and obviously the Sabres are right back in the race.
We could have taken over the 7th spot with a win tonight. Now,we just gave Buffalo a ton of life and made our playoff goal a hell of alot tougher.
