I wouldn't deal Hackett to Toronto for anything less than Mats Sundin himself!
There is no way we should be helping out the Leafs now that there is a distinct possibility that they will be battling with us for the last couple of playoff spots.
I watch every Leaf game and I'm telling you they are HORRIBLE when Joseph isn't in net. If there is one team that needs their goalie it's Toronto. This is a very weak defensively team, they have no system at all (forwards and defence).
Believe me, they've got no farm system to trade away. They'll end up with Vernon or Weekes. While they're miles ahead of Schwab (IMO the worst goalie in the NHL today), they weaknesses are glaring.

Ryan I agree unless we got Alex Mogilny no way do I do a deal with Toronto.I'm not a proponet of dealing in my conference period unless the deal is clearly even.Without Cujo their cup aspirations fade quickly I hope they feel the pain we have the last few years unfortunately they are already in the playoffs unless they play something like .300 hockey. Can't worry about dealing with the Leafs. Make the best trade possiblefor Hackett with however. With Joseph out 4-5 weeks opportunity may be knocking. Plus we are not batteling TO for one of the final playoff spots.

Guys,I understand the 'we hate the Leafs, let's not deal with them' menatility. But there is not much of a chance they will collapse AFTER picking up a goalie to replace Cujo.Let's face it,if it's not Hackett,it will be someone else. They won't wait for us to decide if we want to deal Hack to a division rival.Anyways,Hackett hasn't won in the playoffs and the Bruins are gonna win the division,so the Leafs will finish at best 4th and won't face us if we make it.
