Congratulations to Womens Team Canada

on winning the Gold Medal in Hockey tonight! Team Canada has some very classy ladies. In spite of the poor calls against them by the Ref they gave their hearts to the game and won.
I could say the best team won, and tonight that is very true, but both our teams are winners. They spend their time beating each other. Team Canada and Team USA are the two best Womens Hockey Teams in the world. I think both Canada and the U.S. can be proud of their women.
Lisa Brown-Miller, one of the members of the 1998 Women's Team USA, and Joe Micholetti were the Color Analysts for this game. They made a comment several times on the poor calls by the Refs where a Team Canada Player ended up in the penalty box, and that it wasn't a good call. I agree with them 100%. The Ref made some very bad calls against Team Canada. I for one would have felt very bad if Team USA had won the Gold because of those very poor calls against Team Canada by the Ref.
I don't know if you know it, but several of the women from Team Canada and Team USA were either roommates in College or are still roommates in college. Team USA and Team Canada are rivals when it comes to country against country, but in college some of them play on the same college hockey team with each other. Away from the rivalry I have a feeling that some of our women are good friends.
Team USA lost the game but they are winners too. Both Team Canada and Team USA are amazing and the women on both teams are amazing. I don't really think that anything Team USA did was meant to be disrespectful to Canada. Both our teams have a high respect for each other.
This loss by Team USA does hurt alot, but I am a good sport and I can accept their loss gracefully. I have a feeling for at least the next few years, Team Canada and Team USA will continue the way they have been, beating each other.
