The boys played hard tonight. Never wilted. Man to man they skated hard, finished their checks, and just kept going at the Caps.
A good win. Rangers won so this was an important "w".

Pretty cool, CO!! 8)
I had planned on listening to the entire game because it started before the Sharks game. Unfortunately I'm having to do lots of last minute stuff before I fly to Montreal on Friday. I only got to hear Period 3. I did hear the entire 3rd Period though. When the Caps went ahead I was afraid the Habs would lose. I was very happy when the Habs tied it and then even happier they went ahead and then won. It was a good win for sure. ;D

The team bounced back nicely after that defensive debacle against the Panthers. Glad Kilger had a good game though I find it hard to take that he's been relegated to the 4th line for most of this season. I'd rather have his size put to use on one of the top 2 lines if possible.

Yea, but I think they stole one. Caps carried most of the play, spent way more time in the Habs zones (about 6 1/2 minutes) but turnovers ultimately killed them (they had 20 vs the Habs 7- turnovers do matter ).
Whatever, it's still 2 points and the team can use every point that they can get. This was an especially good win as the Caps were only one point behind, a 4 point game in effect. The key to their making the playoffs may well come down to winning the bulk of these "4 point" games.
Still, I don't think that they would have won against a good team on its game. In other words their play doesn't leave me thinking that they've turned a corner. Their own zone play is still pretty dismal much of the time and until they get that sorted out I'm not getting my hopes up. Who was it, by the way, who skated away from the Caps dman in the high slot on the Caps first goal. What on earth was he thinking? Sheesh.

I watched most of the game, and overall they played well. The effort was there by everyone last night, and they never got too low after any Capitals goal. Among the better players were Juneau,Bulis,Dackell [their line kept a lot of pressure on the Caps defence and offence], Theodore, and Zednick too. Zednick's goal was great, in so much that he had just been checked hard into the boards a moment earlier, and the Washington announcers were still marvelling over that check when he made his way to the net to score and shut up the announcers.
Savage's goal was a bit lucky, since he was in the right place at the right time to tuck in the rebound. The same could be said for Odjick's goal. Juneau's goal was nice, and Bulis deserves much credit for some nice stick handling and taking the initial shot.
