Flyers a reportedly "dangling" Simon Gagne as bait for a goalie...doesn't Clarke wish he had Maxime Oullette now... Please go ahead there BOBBY - sell off ANOTHER young player to fully ensure your despicable team never EVER wins another Stanley Cup... sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/story?columnist=kelley_jim&id=1713563My hatred of the Flyers knows no bounds...

If the Flyers wanted to go into the playoffs with an unproven, inexperienced goalie, with zero NHL playoff experience, and with mediocre to bad playoff numbers in any other league, I suspect they would just go with Robert Eshe or Jeff Hackett.
Curtis Joseph is available, of course, but I doubt they will go that way, as Joseph has looked brutal at times this year, and isn't a money goalie anyways. Wouldn't surprise me though, if Philly and Minnesota hook up; the Wild have two decent goalies with good playoff records, they are inter-conference teams, so they don't have to worry about getting burnt by the other, and they both have what the other needs - a goalie for Philly, a young scorer for Minnesota. Only problem is, that would leave Philly with 3 goalies, so one would probably have to go back the other way.
Esche and Gagne for Fernandez and something? Wiemer? Zyuzin?

What would be the purpose of a trade for Garon? If I were Clarke I'd stick with Robert Esche ... and Gagne.

I believe Hasek has a no-trade clause and when he returned from retirement, he said he would play only for Detroit so Holland could find himself in the same situation as when the season started. R.

He will, except Hasek will be the one on the outside looking in. I have to think that the manner in which Cujo handled things after Hasek was brought back, and his level of play, has garnered him a lot of respect in the locker room. Not that he didn't have any before, but this certainly goes a long way to cementing his place in Detroit. How many can honestly say they'd have handled the situation as well as Curtis has. I still maintain that Cujo did nothing to lose his place as #1 in Detroit, and Holland over reacted to pressure to bring Hasek back. Hasek's health, and his $hitty work ethic off the ice, have come back to bite the Wings in the a$$.
