GAlley brings up a point we've been making for a while. It's not just the number of shots on goal we've been giving up. it's the number of good quality scoring chances. When you step back from this game, even though it's 6-3, Ottawa has had a good goal called back and Buds has had 3 or 4 goalposts or crossbars help out, not to mention him having to make a few very tough saves. It's not the way you want your team entering the playoffs, but it's the way we've played all year, giving up lots of good scoring chances. It's only the occasional game where we've played a tight defense. This game should be a lot closer. And it's Ottawa for Chrissakes, not Chicago or Anaheim or even Boston. We have to get tighter.

We have been brutal in the face offs for a while now. That hurts us a lot

I almost feel sorry for the Walrus, whatever his number is. But not quite.

Parros, trying to give Smith a message. Smith has pulled the cord out of the wall.

7-3.
DD all alone.
Vanek with a strong play to knock the Sen off the puck. Nifty pass to Max who finds DD.

Not a fan of the ole song but I want to hear it now. All the sens fan left after the end of the second so they could get out of the parking lot.

Get a few more. Want to run these smug so-and-sos out of their own building. If we load up on this PP, the Sens will go nuts. I'd do it, just to give Cherry SOME reason to talk about Montreal... Seriously, though....these games can't end soon enough for me....

Look at that....MT gives the 4th line some PP time.

...luv how CBC setting Habs up as wishy washy team going into the playoffs...that may well be true but if it was the Leafs the seed of negativity wouldnt' even be apparent.
The bias commentary aside...Habs are fortunate Andersson and the Sens D has been brutal...Prust Weisse and to a certain extent Moen will make a huge difference.... if healthy..Habs have depth and if employed properly with our best D playing (no freaking foggies) Habs have a good shot to advance at least a round and maybe beyond?

Vanek is so creative. Flip passes, intentional shots off the boards to set up a scoring chance...

7-4. Bournival loses the handle and the puck goes right into the slot for Soccerejad.
Boys better be careful....pretty loose right now...and the Sens will go for it.

Do we still have a timeout? Call it with a minute to go.

Sens have had their chances late in this game.
Good thing Budaj has been sharp after that 3-0 Sens' lead.
Not impressed with our D zone play at all tonight. Not as a whole package.
