In watching 24ch last year Gallant was very involved, from talking to the players in the room to talking to them on the bench. I don't like quoting myself, but when Gallant was announced as the Panthers' head coach, I posted the following understatement. Congrats to Gerard! I think we just might miss him. Sure would like to ask him about working with Therrien. He was the calming force, the strategist, the mind behind the PP. Remember that the PP has been going downhill for some time, starting when Gallant was still here.

IMO, Gallant had a system that worked and the opposition finally figured out how to defend it. Not just a one-trick pony, either….because I remember a lot more bodies in front of the net when it was successful.
I have to think that at least he'd have been more adept at figuring out a solution…because this group has taken it right to the bottom….there's only uphill from here….
