Just noticed that the team picture we have up there actually updates itself ... I haven't touched a thing on it and it's already added DSP and amended Sekac's status ... neat ... another tough one coming up tomorrow night but this team has to like its chances on the road ... welcome to DSP ... would be really nice to take out the Blue Jackets in their own barn before ending the month against Toronto at home (don't like our chances there, but that's another thread) ... gotta take these guys ...
Cheers.

We are currently 23 games over .500! If we play .500 hockey the rest of the way we will have had our best season since 1988-89. Pretty impressive!
But I still hate MT and refuse to give him any credit. But I'm stubborn on these issues.
Go Carey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers. That may be what troubles me. As a long term coaching style, I don't think its sustainable. One has to lead, not push.

Didn't Nilan say recently that Therrien tends to treat is players like (dirt) ... son of a gun ... Cheers. I recall reading stories that Scotty Bowman was never known as being particularly friendly with his players either. He wasn't liked, but he was respected. I think a big part of the respect is that Bowman was recognized as an excellent bench boss. He could win games for you by the proper matching, lines, etc. Players respect that, knowing it affects the bottom line. The playing field has changed since then too. It's much harder to yank people's chains and pull strings when they're making as much money as they are and free agency gives them a lever they never had before. Push too hard and you could be told to go somewhere. Did Bowman's style change after a few years in Detroit? I don't know. I'm wondering if he adjusted, or just retired while the getting was good, so to speak.

Price isn't going to like that one. Deflected probably, but still not a good goal.
