We're going into a shell again....hardly any chances against McElhinney this period.

We just can't keep letting them come at us for the rest of the game.
Like to see some pushback.

Ryan Johansson looks uninterrested tonight

I started watching about 5 minutes ago, and it looks like the Habs are sort of in control (jinx alert). They played in their own end a bit, but no dangerous chances allowed, then they break out and get some good opportunities themselves.

thought the puck was dead if it sat o the top of the net I can't find it in the rule book ... It does say if it rests ontop of the net for 3 seconds a whistle must be blown. However, I question if a puck can be removed from the top of the net legally. If you use your stick, that's highsticking, if you use your hand that's closing you hand on a puck. I suppose you could knock it out with your glove from below. In any event, Tropp highsticked the puck to get the puck off the net and to bat it in

I know the Jackets want to get back in the game....but play is too lop-sided for my liking.
Gilbert and Tinordi are an adventure tonight.

Tinordi's playing at AHL speed instead of NHL speed. He has to move up his puck movement or his decision making or both one more notch.

Tinordi's playing at AHL speed instead of NHL speed. He has to move up his puck movement or his decision making or both one more notch. He looks terrible. Him and Pateryn were having a tough time out there, then MT made sure they were out there when DD's line was out. Which isn't ideal, but it's safer. Then he split them up for a few shifts. I felt sorry for Gilbert having to play with him.

More trouble clearing, controlling in our own zone.
4-2.
Jackets will really go at it now.

More trouble clearing, controlling in our own zone. 4-2. Jackets will really go at it now. That started with Markov, of all people, turning it over at centre and then we got hemmed in. That was not a bad line-up defensively for us out there, but the puck just made some odd bounces.

What a cheap check by Hartnell.

De La Rose becomes the 499th different player to score a goal as a Hab
Current players that could become #500 are Manny Malholtra, Smith-Pelly, Jared Tinordi, Greg Pateryn ..... And Carey Price

Noticed on that PP. Poor DD spends a lot of time cooling his face and then getting up after being knocked down with every cross check.
