Two goals for DLR. Congrats to him. Yes indeed! Gotta love Rosey! And only 19! Was impressed with Pateryn's hits and he played alright otherwise. Was most unimpressed with tinordi's play. He seems to be slow to react and often is not aware of his surroundings. Seemedlike Jackets were 'sneaking up' on him all night yet it was obvious they were there. Hope it's nerves (or perhaps the face protector) and just getting acquainted to the speed of the NHL but I was disappointed. Seemed like he played better last year. Chucky had a bad game.

Game log says three points for Subban and +5. And statistically now in the running for the Norris!

Game log says three points for Subban and +5. And statistically now in the running for the Norris! Second in points, 4th in +/- for the top ten in scoring, one of the better balances between even strength points and pp points, best shooting percentage, tied for most game winning goals with Josi. I'd say. Josi and Weber are having very good seasons in Nashville, but I can't see both getting nominated. Giordano deserves recognition for his season in Calgary. It's a tight race. Right now, I'd pick Giordano, Subban, and toss a coin for Josi or Weber. Honorable mention to Letang.

Three best defensive tandems in the league:
Nashville Josi 11g 33a 44p +20 Weber 14g 28a 42p +22
Montreal Subban 12g 35a 47p +14 Markov 8g 30a 38p +14
Calgary Giordano 11g 37a 48p +13 Brodie 10g 25a 35p +23
Calgary also has Wideman having a solid season. Noticeably absent are Keith and Seabrook. It's interesting that of those guys, Weber is the only one over 6'2 and 220lbs. Most are in the 6'-6'1 and 200lb range. Puck movers. Guys that can skate fast and/or make fast correct decisions.

No mention of our quiet superstar, Max Pacioretty? Cracked 30 goals last night (ho-hum), good for 6th overall in the league. First in game winning goals and plus/minus, second in shots. All on an offensively challenged team with little support. Were it not for Carey we'd be talking about Max being in the running for the Hart, if you ask me. Does he hit 40 this season? Didn't see the game, but it's always nice finishing off the BJs.

We'll see if he can overcome squeezing the stick this year. On pace for more than 70 points too. He warrants being in the conversation for Selke at the very least.

Very happy for DLR ... Subban is only one point behind Giordano for the scoring lead by defensemen ... and he's killing me all by himself in the fantasy pool this week ... Leafs up next ... won't be easy ...
Cheers.

Pretty good win. 17 minutes for DSP, couple chances and a few hits.
Tinordi's play is worrisome, I keep waiting for him to "get it". Games like this, he doesn't look like an nhler.
