Habs tweeting Tinordi been sent down to Hamilton. Presumably someone has got healthy - Gonchar or Weaver?
Interesting that it is Tinordi. Would seem Pateryn has now surpassed Tinordi on the depth chart. Based on what I saw in the CBJ game, I would have to agree. Pateryn had some good solid hits, seemed comfortable with the puck, and pretty good positioning. And I've read he has a good shot. Can't say any of that about Tinordi. He seemed confused and worse than last year. Guess we'll never know the effects of the fight earlier this year or the one he got hurt in last week. But I'm afraid he is now another wasted draft pick.

I think he was better this time, but I don't ever think he's been horrible. He needs games and time.

Too bad, I think he would mature if given enough time. Extreme tall guys generally takes longer. On bright side doubt they plan to trade him as demotion now cuts his value. Next season he should get another shot as Weaver, Allen and Gonchar likely be done here. Makes 3 spots opening up on blueline.

Thomas sent down as well. Word is that Gonchar and PAP will draw into the lineup.

Personally I thought, at least against CBJ, that he was worse than he's been on other occasions.. This latest sending down is a numbers game. He's not better than Gonchar and Pateryn's adjusted better than Jared. I'd work on him moving his feet. He always seems to be a step behind. He has time to get to the puck and move it, but doesn't do it quickly enough, allowing time to be checked. If that's because of his head, trade him now while you can, but if it's just because he's not moving his feet quickly enough, that can be taught

Yup. A number of times he got to the puck in ample time and then, although he had time to move it, a Jacket came and hit him or stripped him. I'm rooting for the guy but just seems he may not get it. Noticed it more last night than before. Maybe it was an off game but starting to see a pattern, and a Pateryn

Most nhlers know what they're going to do before they get the puck, Tinordi looks like he's surprised a lot of the time.
NB had a pretty rapid turnaround, maybe it'll happen.

I may be wrong but I think that was Jarred's last stint with the Habs. I hope MB will get something valuable in retutn.

But we need a 6'6 bruising defender back there. If he develops in 2 years so be it. MB HAS to be patient with him. We can't have 6 PK's back there.

I thought that this was a huge stint for him. With Emelin out on the left side, Jared is the perfect guy to take that spot but if felt he needed at least 5 games to get over the yips and find a groove. He's clearly very hard on himself and that's part of his problem. Pateryn seems to play with less pressure because in part he doesn't feel the weight of expectations. That said, I don't think Tinordi has played himself out of the lineup and he should get a couple more games. Why bring Gonchar back just because he's ready? Why not have sit a few more games just so management can get a longer look at Tinordi? I still feel that the Habs have Tinordi on a very tight leash and will send him down at the first sign of trouble. We have been winning games, Tinordi isn't really costing us, he's playing safer minutes on the 3rd pair with his regular partner Pateryn......why not let that ride a bit longer? Just so we can make room for a 40 year old Sergi Gonchar? Really? I'd rather stick with Tinordi a bit longer. Poor development IMO.

I just can`t shake the feeling that Tinordi could be packaged along with Eller before the deadline. He`s being passed by other defense prospects IMHO. I believe that what is holding Tinordi back is between his ears. He seems to lose confidence in himself quite easily if he makes a mistake. I honestly would not be too happy if he gets traded, but at the same time, I wouldn`t be too concerned about him suddenly turning into a top defensive player with his new team.

Not making any glaring mistakes. He was in one or two scraps. Guys that size who can play are intimidating to the opposition. He's something the Habs have lacked for years.

Or even let Gonchar play and rest Markov for a few games. Maybe MB was happy with Tinordi's play this stint and satisfied he had increased his trade value - figured let's send him back "not on his play but we're now healthy" and see what other GMs are willing to pay before deadline. Sure hope we're not chasing that President's Trophy!

I would like for them to give Tinordi more of a chance. Next year I'd like to see
Markov-PK Beau-Pateryn Tinordi-Emelin Gilbert
Weaver & Gonchar gone, Beau needs a stay at home guy and Pateryn fills the bill IMO. Tinordi needs to play and I think Emelin will have a bounce back year. I know both are lefties but Emelin has played the right side before.
Tinordi is 6' 6" and in 2 years he will be anywhere from 245 to 250 and will hit like a Mack truck.... guys that size are what this team needs and a 3rd pairing of Emelin and Tinordi will have opposition forwards wishing they had a their heads on a swivel.

Yes, they're going to need dmen next season & combined with what MB said about his young defence men I would be a bit surprised if Tinordi was traded.
