Well it's so borderline you just have to give a guy like Brad the benefit of the doubt. It's not like he hung himself upside down on the crossbar. (It was close)

I had no idea the NHL could make a note of uncalled dives, review later, and administer fines. I thought Rule 64 was restricted to an accumulation of embellishment calls made by the refs. But…there's Rule 64.3. Have any other players been fined in review? 64.3 Fines and Suspensions - Regardless if a minor penalty for diving / embellishment is called, Hockey Operations will review game videos and assess fines to players who dive or embellish a fall or a reaction, or who feign injuryOnly one ... Vincent Trochek on Florida. Three guys were fined after their first embellishment penalty .... James Neal, Gustav Nyqvist, and Vincent Trochek. Each got $2000, and Trocheck wasn't even penalized. Thanks Skilly. A very "select" club indeed. Colin Campbell…what a joke. They find diving on that play….but expunge Marchand's record.

Is there, then, an appeals process? Marc Dumont over at Habs Eyes on the Prize seems to think that Marchand's two embellishment penalties were bogus, and that's how his record was "wiped clean." Too bad we don't have a player named Bettman in our system...

The "appeals" process is no doubt influenced by whichever team/player appeals to the committee.

I doesn't hurt that marchands owner is the head of the BoG and gave Bettman a huge contract recently.... added to the fact daddy campbell is the head of the disciplinary committee.
It's bush league

Holy cow..(are cows holy? ), that dive needed a chorus of diving judges. A front flip, half twist, plus a turtle spin at the very end. I would have given him 3 minor penalties, one for each layer of embellishment.
