Pateryn with a nice legal check on Hayes. Hayes is furious! And takes an unsportsmanlike penalty. I guess Hayes never touched the puck.....but it was close enough for a hit. Maybe? I'll have to rewind. Galley likes ragging on the Habs. Hayes is 6'6/220 & he's crying about that hit. boo hoo

It wasn't a PP goal, but it's 1-0 for the Habs .... 6 for last 60

Oh man, not five seconds after I post that, Galley calls it goaltender interference.

Galley really wants Florida to win this game.

Another PP, out comes the nada line. No sense trying something different.

Really good pressure that time. No PK, Skilly. He did have a nice chance with a few ticks left, but I can't help feeling it would have been better if he didn't wind up before the snap shot, just put a quick wrister on net with traffic

Really good pressure that time. No PK, Skilly. When PK isn't out there, they work the puck around. Gives the forwards a chance to get in front. When PK is out there, he isn't giving up a shot, and the forwards arent in front so the puck goes out quickly. And when they do get in front, he is doing figure skating moves at the blueline. A PP QB, settles it down, waits for the team to set-up, and above all else, ensures the puck gets to the net. So even if it doesn't go in, the face off is in the zone and not all that time ticking off retreating for the puck.

The Ron and Don show
Everyone at CBC thinks it was goalie interference. Don thinks if you are outside the blue it should not be interference. Ron says that Galchenyuk interfered inside the blue ice. Ron should put his glasses on, and read the rulebook. Luongo's skate contacts Galchenyuk OUTSIDE the blue ice, but the rulebook is clear it doesn't matter where the goalie is, or even if the goalie initiates the contact, as long as it's in the act of making a save ....

So the key to improving our PP is either improving Subban, or taking him off the PP? Wow, that would be a tough move. Not saying you're wrong, but there are a lot of implications to the latter.

Instead of calling out Slater for hitting Beaulieu while he was down and being held by a linesman, Cherry praises him for the Gordie Howe hat-trick.

Maybe the rule has changed and McLean hasn't kept up. That happens and I doubt he has the time, or the interest perhaps, to keep up something like officiating. Is he still doing it?

I'd prefer the former. Someone has to teach him patience. Failing that, give him one game with no PP time and someone in his ear pointing out the pros and cons as he watches
