A goal is a goal & this one tied the game. What, he's not allowed to point at the logo? I didn't know there were degrees of celebration depending on the situation & how the puck went in the net. Montreal must be wearing their logos higher up on the jersey theses days ... In any event, Dubinsky can mouth off all he wants, a goal celebration shouldn't include mouthing off and pushing the opponent. No matter what was said. If Subban has an issue with that, then call the bigot/rascist out (if that was what got that reaction). If he won't do that, then he will have to live with getting chirped at, and not put his team down after scoring tying goals I didn't think the shove on Dubinsky merited a penalty. It seems like the referees were looking for a reason to penalize the goal celebration - maybe.

We have no idea of the context to that goal and celebration. What did Dubinsky say to PK beforehand? We enjoyed it when Bautista homered after O'Dea tried to bean him. Bautista glared at him then, and O'Dea deserved it.

Cmon jkr .... Almost all his other goals he skates around with that , ka-boom like look, and then he jumps into a team mates arms celebrating ....he doesn't skate away from everyone, not celebrating with his team, and his team mates trying to guide him to the bench Sorry Skilly we are not going to agree. I just find this has a lot to do with today's athletes & hockey is slower to adapt. It seems like any burst of enthusiasm pisses people off. ... especially if it comes from a minority. It might have been a bit much given how it was scored, but I read it as a monkey off the back reaction. Given what transpired with Dubinsky, my guess would be something occurred on the ice that none of us are privy to (before the altercation). As for the penalty, it's incredibly soft. Flagrant stuff gets let go all the time, and they call that? It's nothing but targeting specific players for petty reasons.

How dumb are the intermission guys on sportsnet... any chance they can they slam the Habs I disagree, Willie, they're being honest. I mean, are they wrong? I don't have a problem with pk celebrating or reacting the way he did to dumbass.... considering the struggles this team has been having and pk not scoring... he got emotional and dumbinsky didn't like it. Now i don't know what he said but pk has had to put up with a lot in his career (if gretzky got treated like Saperlipopette as a kid by other parents and players imagine what pk went through) and since we don't know what dubinsky said we have to go by PKs reaction. His reaction tells me what was said was not something you skate away from.

He scored three games ago I read it to be, like you said, something occurred and he was rubbing Dubinsky's face in it ....a Take That reaction. Which would have been fine if he just celebrated instead of seeking Dubinsky out after the goal

Bautista's was a "that'll teach you". PK's was . . . what was it anyway? "whew, I finally scored"? it wasn't an "I can't believe that went in" because it was more celebratory than that. I don;t think he should have received a penalty . . . but I also don't think he should have pushed Dubinsky, no matter what was said. chirp back. but the reffing continues to suck across the league and no one ever knows if they'll be called or not. 'cept Gally.
