Will we see another embarrasing loss? Will MT wear his lucky mustard colored suit? Will DD be 1st line centre and plenty of PP time. .. stay tuned to the adventures of "As the Habs Fan Stomach Sickens"

One thing is for sure: this team is exhausted mentally and physically. No jump or care. Never seen such lethargic play. We may be the easiest team to play against physically. Never any 'gathering of the clan" with these guys. You'd think even frustration would lead to some pushing and shoving. Only PK's nudge of Duber after PK scored. It's possible the rest, and being away from the rink and MT, may rejuvenate these guys.
Otherwise it's fair to say by their play and body language they are done. May be for the best if we can get high draft choice. Extra bonus would be to see MT fired. Regardless, i'm not letting MB and MT off the hook. This is on them. they will own it!

I think it would help if they had some toughness on the team, a la Prust. Perhaps Prust's days are behind him, but someone like him with more speed, would be useful. You don't need to have them fighting, but at least they could pound Clunes into the ice when those types of idiots take liberties. McCarron? Too bad the situation with the team is so poisoned, you don't really want to expose good kids to this. In any case, I think he'll be ready next year. Throw in another gritty type guy (Ladd?) and it changes the make-up of the team hugely.

Based on lines at practice, our new top line is now MaxPac-DD-Weise. Inevitable I suppose. Meanwhile, Galchenyuk gets to play wing with Pleks and Gallagher. If I recall, this has been tried before and Pleks has almost no chemistry with Galchenyuk. I don't see how that will change things.
To paraphrase: "They'll be coming at them in the same old style and they'll be met in the same old style"

Sounds good to me. In fact I'd move Dsp up to the 2nd line RW, and play Gallagher and Chucky wth Torrey Mitchell so they can learn to be responsible.

Chuck and Pleks together are a non-starter. By may calculations, Pleks is scoring at the pace of a third line centre, if not a fourth. So let him play there and perform his wonderful checking role. On another note, I'm hopeful the rest did the boys some good. Unfortunately PK, who may have been more exhausted than any of them, got no rest and may have even exhausted more energy than usual with the travel, fanfare, and 3 on 3 for 40 minutes. We'll see but I'm not liking PK's prospects.

We cleared the zone only once on that PK....
Gilbert commits to the passer and leaves Simmonds all alone for the tap-in.

Saw a stat earlier that the last Hab to score a PP goal in Philly was Mathieu Schneider in 2009. 0 for 56 since. Offensively challenged for a long long time I'd say

2-0 just like that.
Goes in off Markov's skate...
Condon with no chance on either goal....

AAARRRGGHHH! Lessio's been assimilated! Did you hear him use the phrase chip and chase?
What am I saying? I mean, good, yeah, good. Keep playing exactly like that Lucas. Don't carry the puck out, don't carry it in. Just chip it in and then backcheck. Here we come, Matthews.
