They continue to make all the wrong moves. IF this keeps up, I may have to become a Leafs fan. I left them in 67, so it seems justified to go back 50 years later in 2017.
Why, why, why would you take any chance at all with your most important player? In a useless season. If they think we have a ghost of a chance of winning the Cup, they are delusional. But of course, we have a chance for 2 home playoff dates. Everyone should stay away from those games and send a very clear message. Very foolish.
We're passing up a chance at a guy like Dubois, with instant marketing clout, to pick up (maybe) 2 playoff home games. Sheesh.

MT announced the Price will practice with equipment on at a private practice today. I sure hope that Berg and MT do not see this as a sign that they might be able to salvage a season, and in MT's case, a job. Last time they rushed him back, and that turned out so well. Carey is this team's most valuable asset. They need to continue to let him recover, without the added stress of games during a meaningless season. I want a healthy Carey in the fall, along with as good a draft pick we can find. They have shut Gilbert, Petry down for the season...don't rush Carey back!! Agreed. Since it's a big announcement, that means Price hasn't been in full gear very often, if at all. Anything less than 100%, keep practicing in private.

I was saying it before, but just about all of the Habs fans I´ve talked to down here are resigned to a terrible season and they want a high draft pick ... I don´t know ... maybe they´ve been keeping the hope alive all season just to keep ticket sales going ... like I said, I don´t know if that´s the case, but it wouldn´t surprise me ... wouldn´t surprise me to see Therrien back either ... just saying nothing really surpises me this season ... Cheers.

Price taking shots at practice today...from DD, who is back on skates.
Arpon Basu saying that if Price is 100%, how can you hold him back? And if he's going to get hurt again...better to do it when he has the summer for treatment.
If he's ready to go, sitting him out longer won't prevent re-injury, if it's going to happen. Pretty difficult to hold back a competitive athlete if he's ready.

He doesn't help the tank. Playing him means pushing for the playoffs, and it's not worth it. Play the kids. Shut down Price. Hell, shut down all the vets.

Price will hold a presser at 1:00 today to acknowledge his selection to Team Canada.
I can hear the press now: Yeah, yeah...Team Canada, good for you......HOW'S THE KNEE/GROIN/HIP? WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK? HAVE YOU FELT PRESSURED TO SALVAGE A LOST SEASON?

If DD can come back at the same time, Price's return will be offset.

If DD can come back at the same time, Price's return will be offset. Then stick him on the wing ... that's the only thing Therrien hasn't gone back to with this guy ... oh yeah, Price ... I'm really on the fence with this whole Price-is-now-in-pads thing ... if we make the playoffs then we'd better go deep, otherwise it's just a wasted opportunity ... Cheers.

If Price feels he's ready, and he's got the medical thumbs up, you let him play. He's a pro, he's the best, he obviously loves what he does, you can't tell him no. I'm sure he's itching to play.

Heard an interesting opinion on the way home from work yesterday ... the guys on TSN690 suggested that, how do you explain to Price that they'll be sitting him out for the remainder of the season when he's worked so hard to prepare for his comeback ... I think both Basu and the 690 crew are bang on ... Cheers.

Price said he was between a 3 and a 7 out of ten when asked how ready he was Yeah, I watched the whole 19 minutes of the interview and was struck with that comment. He is not imminent, but progressing with the goal of getting games in this season. What competitive player would not rather play. If the World Cup roster announcement had not happened on Wednesday, would we have heard a peep?

Nope And I don't see the benefit to the Montreal Canadiens to have him suit up for 5-6 games. Bergevin will use it as a gauge to see if Price should play in the World Cup, and the World Cup should not even enter the conversation on if Price should suit up this year.

I agree.....but it doesn't matter when he suits up...if he's ready, he's ready...whether it be at the end of this season....or in September....or October.
The "between 3 and 7" comment leads me to think he won't be back for the Habs this season....but who knows?
I'm more worried about the chronicity of his injury...

Actually it might matter when he suits up. If he's healed, fine, it doesn't matter, but what if he isn't? Is it not better to know that in April rather than October? That's 5 months of recuperation time that would be lost if he's not healed and has to have some kind of surgery.
Nah, let him go at it. It isn't going to happen soon enough to jeopardize the draft position, which won't be terrific anyway.

With Therriens propensity for mixing up the lineup I wouldn't be surprised to see Price as our big center and DD in nets. There is no reason to bring back Price. He hasn't seen game action in months, isn't ready to help and can use the rest. Time for MB to go out and get some more players for the bottom six positions and keep the kids on the Rock! Preferably some older experienced guys who are in decline and fell out of favor with their current teams.

Price may be back next week, according to Hickey. Take it for what you will. I borrowed Uber's crystal balls...are they crystal? Pre-Buffalo game... Let me guess.....we win again.....Price comes back next week, we go on an emotion-fuelled tear.....and finish 1 pt. out, or miss on a tie-breaker.... I think a week or so ago, Skilly predicted (sarcastically, as did I?) that Price would be back for the final 12 or so games....to serve only to remove both tracks from the tank...

Let's hope that takes the wind out of their sails and the tanking continues full steam ahead. What we really need is for Galchy to continue scoring 2 goals a game but the other team out scores us by 1 in regulation... the best of both worlds.

Personally I'm hoping Price comes to the Ice Caps for a 2 game conditioning stint before he starts in Montreal. It won't happen and if it does it would probably be on the road with my luck.
