1. The injustice is an outrage. Serge Savard should have his number 18 retired. Two cups as GM, one of the top 3 defencemen of his generation. Eight (?) cups as a player. Hall of famer. Get on it George. Serge Savard is first. Then Larry Robinson. Bob Gainey is debatable, imo.
2. Petrov needs to be signed or dealt.
3. Time for Dykhuis to get a look from Julien or to be moved. I prefer him to Traverse, so I favor a look. He has it in him to play 17 minutes. I don't know what the problem is, but it's not going to get fixed on the bench. Play him or trade him.
4. Send Souray to a freaking witch doctor. I don't care how it's done, we need that guy.
5. Find a place for Kilger and get Julien to have a talk with him. He needs to get back in as soon as his knee is better.
6. Finally, since it's coming down the pipe anyway, we should start thinking about what kind of sponsors should be considered to have their corporate logos on the Habs jersey. Any ideas?

I agree with those points Johnny, although I'd be more incluned to retire #12 over Gainey's # because there were two greats that wore it; Cournoyer and Moore. I'd retire Robinson's number before Savard's but that's just my opinion; they're both deserved.
I read today that the guy from 110% said Souray has been skating for awhile now, and should be back practising with the club fairly soon.
We certiinly have added a pile of right wingers in the past while, including Chow, McKay and Sundstrom. I think Petrov can be dealt for the right price since he'll be a UFA if unsigned.

Agreed on all fronts.
Appparently CJ went to Hossa in Hamilton when Hoss was struggling and talked to him and that got Hossa going
Maybe he can do the same with Kilger?
Chad just needs a good kick in the a$$ once in awhile......

1. agree 2. signed , I hope 3. he's replacing Hainsey  How on earth can that guy be worse than Traverse. 4. I hear Gino knows a good one 5. Agree. He's what this team needs if he can get it going again with some decent ice-time. 6. Vachon maybe ?

Yes. 3. Karl plays against the Caps. 4. Back "soon". Last I heard was end of February, but that was a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully the ETA for Seldom Seen Sheldon has been moved up. 5. Yep. I want to see him centre the Hossa-Kilger-Sundstrom line. 6. Putt-putt-putt St-Hubert BBQ, for all players under 6' and 200lbs. And, no, I'm not saying that they're chicken. Maybe Dairy Queen for a certain d-man. You know, the one who makes like a banana split too often.

Look at what he's done for the club both as a player and GM. Larry Robinson? He's a Hall of Famer right? Take into account that he, Serge and Guy Lapointe were possibly "The Best Three" of their time and there's your case. Bob Gainey? Honestly, I'd do it if only because he was rated as the best player in the world back in the mid-70's, according to the Russians at least. I don't know why I feel this way, but it would be very odd to see Oleg in a different uniform. Something like Tie Domi out of the Leafs' uniform. KR suggested a nice Christmas present for Oleg; a reporter to talk to from time to time. Pretty unappreciated guy, eh? How did this guy fall off the planet? What company wouldn't want to be associated with the CH. Bombardier would be nice. Or just about anything Canadian I suppose. Cheers.

1. 6. Finally, since it's coming down the pipe anyway, we should start thinking about what kind of sponsors should be considered to have their corporate logos on the Habs jersey. Any ideas? Well JV, Idebated this thing all day. Here is my choice. Condom companies. The ad compaigne can be: "Are you safe with your stick handling?" "Score Safely" "You can grind it out all night but make sure you use Trojan's on your stick" Best one would be to dress Traverse in a body sized condom and ask, "Do you feel safe with this man without Trojan's?" I could go on, but I would have to ban myself.

I think if they were gonna put logos on the jersey it would have to be either Bell or Molson given the close ties with the 2 companies.

How about one of Gillett's ski hills or meat packing companies? Senator Hartland Molson would be turning over in his grave if he saw Tim Horton's on a Hab's sweater. Why not start with either "This Space for Rent" or more appropriately in Montreal "A Louer" on the shirt. "Eat at Joe's" on the back. Great idea Johnny V.
